I’m just a sheep. A sheep who can not take her eyes off the cross. Not the one on the left. Not the one on the right but the one in the center. There is a trend that I can not be sucked into lately, that seems to be pulling political views into religious beliefs and its very visible and ugly. Its a distraction and a diversion from the center, from where we need to be. Its the political argument of the Left VS the Right. The Conservative verses the Liberal. I only have to look at our Lord in the center between the two other crosses to focus my attention on. The second I look in either direction, my attention is being pulled away from Him, and placed someplace He is not in full view. Where one side points the finger at the other side and vise versa, the results are always the same. A lot of noise without agreement. The best advise I can give, don’t get sucked into the vortex. A vortex (plural: vortices) is a spinning, often turbulent, flow of fluid. A whirlpool if you will. Does a whirlpool care what is in its path when it pulls anything into it? Left and right go twirling about sucked down in the deep. I will not say the left is the bad or good thief, nor will I say the right is the bad or good thief. I will say, both sides of the “Center Cross” are not my Lord. Both the good and the bad thief’s crucified with our Lord were sinners.

No matter the argument or the rhetoric, left or right, we must ALWAYS heed the words of our Savior, “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”

When our eyes are fixed on the center cross, then we are allowing Him to lead us beside quiet waters.

The one major reason I left the political blogging world was the fact that no matter what side it was, most couldn’t see past their own finger pointing… With Christ Jesus as the center of your vision, you can see eternity. In faith, we all need to be listening to our Masters voice and not one side or the other.
