The Worlds Caravan

5 - finding1

“The boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without his parents knowing it. They assumed he was with the caravan, and they went to look for him among their relations and acquaintances.” Luke 2:44

How many times I just assumed our Lord was among my family and acquaintances FIRST, before checking the “Temple” where He always is, taking care of the Fathers Business. While continuing on in the wrong direction, thinking everything was just dandy. When the reality was far from “dandy”. Unless we seek Him FIRST, and continue to ensure He is among us, we slip into a false security of “Thinking” He is still with us, when we need to face the fact, we NEED to be WITH Him. When one discovers He is not, one needs to run frantically back to where one has left Him.
