“Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save.”

While a man relishes in the fleeting glory of a Cubs win, or a Trump victory, he must always keep in mind that all that glitters is not gold, and this worldly “glory” is but fleeting to the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, which never fades nor the relishing in, come to demise simply at the next world series or presidential election, but is forever eternal.

If we seek the Eternal Glory of our Lord, we must never be content in the “consolation prizes” but simply in our Lords own consolation, that in this life, we come to know, through His Word and His promise to those who endure until the very end.
