Leave The Tomb

Empty Tomb

Today, the tomb is empty. Do not stay within it, nor with what remains in the cold and darkness. Do not linger in the dust of mortal sin and misery.  Leave the tomb of emptiness and live life in Christ our Lord and Redeemer, “behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” Rise above from what is below. Be converted. Be holy.

He is not hereHe has risen, just as He said!

O Sacred Head Surrounded

I am reduced to nothing, the moment this hymn begins. My throat closes. There is a tightness in my chest and the words can not pass my lips. I can never, as hard as I try, sing this hymn, as the tears well up and stream down my cheeks. I can only assume, for now, its the interior contemplation breaking out in a way I could never put into words.

This hymn is just a short part of Salve Mundi Salutare, a poem in honor of our Lords various members on the cross. I have shared this poem in previous posts, divided into seven cantos,  “Ad Pedes”, “Ad Genua”, “Ad Manus”, “Ad Latus”, “Ad Pectus”, “Ad Cor”, “Ad Faciem” (To the Feet, Knees, Hands, Side, Breast, Heart, Face).

Please see the post below, To The Feet, and if you would like to continue, just click the next post.

Salve Mundi Salutare: Ad Pedes

veroncloth+copy

Eternal Father, turn away Your angry gaze from our guilty people whose face has become unsightly in Your eyes. Look instead upon the Face of Your beloved Son, in Whom You are well pleased. We now offer You this Holy Face, covered with shame and disfigured by bloody bruises, in reparation for the crimes of our age, in order to appease Your anger, justly provoked against us. Because Your Divine Son, our Redeemer, has taken upon His Head all the sins of His members, that they might be spared, we now beg You, Eternal Father, to grant us mercy. Amen.

Contemplation

Jesus alone gives us all the new loving perspective of the escape from the grips of death.

“If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Lk 9:23).

This Different Passover Feast

stained-glass-last-supper-loop-footage-000724611_prevstill

I read a beautiful article this morning which added more meaning to the words our Lord spoke at the Last Supper, “Do this in remembrance of me”.

Its an article that speaks about the significance of THAT Passover feast in which our Lord gave all of Himself to us. The shear difference of this last supper, as compared to all the others before. “Why were there no women at the Last Supper?

I have never been a supporter of women priests or deacons, and after having read this article, I am more in support of this position, for not ever having them. You see, when our Lord said:  “do this in memory of me.” He meant it. It meant all of it. There wasn’t any women there. This feast was very different.  And it has remained, very different. It is the very difference our Lord made, with His sacrifice, that changed everything. As it still does today.

Prayers for all our Lords priests today, and always.

Feminist Fantasyland

PP1
fan·ta·sy·land
ˈfan(t)əsēˌland
noun
  1. a place that is unreal or imaginary or that excites wonder.
“living in a fantasyland of endless prosperity and happiness”

Requesting that a Disney Princess has an abortion. Taking into account that Disney Princess are based on Cartoons, it reveals a deep low for pushing  acceptance of abortion from the pro murder cult onto little girls.

Only in Feminist Fantasyland is abortion considered natural and acceptable, just like a fantasy based cartoon. In Feminist Fantasyland, murdering your own children is considered a choice. A choice where there isn’t any regret and everyone does it. In Feminist Fantasyland, the murder of your own child is the happy ending.  But not for the evil child in your womb who dared to steal your beauty and crown!

Mirrormirror, on the wall…”

Ordinary Life

Isaiah 53:2-3

He grew up like a sapling before him,
like a shoot from the parched earth;
There was in him no stately bearing to make us look at him,
nor appearance that would attract us to him.
He was spurned and avoided by men,
a man of suffering, accustomed to infirmity,
One of those from whom men hide their faces,
spurned, and we held him in no esteem.

As I ponder this today, I am reminded to strive to see our Lord in all who are forgotten, brushed off as nothing but ordinary. How often to we meet someone with the thought of “What do you have to offer me?” And the answer is nothing but ordinary? For 30 years of His life, our Lord spent being unknown to most. Not worthy of a second look.

What is Ordinary?

“he sets out to depict ordinary people”

“the ordinary course of events”
2.
(especially of a judge or bishop) exercising authority by virtue of office and not by delegation.
noun

An Ordinary Man, Who IS Extraordinary, crucified, died and rose from the dead. For us ordinary sinners… Allowing us to become extraordinary children of God.

ex·traor·di·nar·y
ikˈstrôrd(ə)nˌerē,ˌekstrəˈôrdnˌerē/Submit

1.
very unusual or remarkable.
“the extraordinary plumage of the male”
synonyms: remarkable, exceptional, amazing, astonishing, astounding, sensational, stunning, incredible, unbelievable, phenomenal;
noun
1.
an item in a company’s accounts not arising from its normal activities.

Ordinary water was taken and used to wash away our original sin at His command.
Ordinary wine and bread becomes our Lord’s body and blood at His word.
Ordinary clay mixed with His spit cured the blind man..

Ordinary becomes holy, because He is Holy. He is the Master of Ordinary.
