Mortar and Stone

87699166

Beautiful advise from Fr. John S. Hogan, OCDS this morning on Twitter.

As Catholics, we are one Mystical Body of Christ. When we turn on each other, we become like a cancer cell, attacking Life and becoming a tumor which harms.

I am reminded of St. Paul and The Role of God’s Ministers

We, the laity, are all ministers of the Word in this world. Therefore, rather than turn and attack the Cardinals, Bishops and Priests, whom we “feel” are not saying enough, of what we already know, we need to be the mortar that holds the faith together. How we do this, is that IF we truly know the teachings of the Catholic Church, it is WE who need to present it to all. We are called to proclaim the Gospel of our Lord to all living creatures also.

Where one may “feel” the Bishop or the Priest has not said enough, it is we who need to turn to the crowd among us, and fill in the gaps that we think are missing with the deeper Truth of our Lord.

Here is the CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. Seek. Ask. Knock. Discern everything and give ANSWER. Feed the hungry!

We can easily stand on the shore of our faith and yell at those who are fishing, telling them how to fish, but until we get into the deep of our faith, we only catch what is washed up on shore. In the end, we shall not be judged by our Lord by what others did or did not do, but what we did, and did not do.

“Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch.”

Manifesto of Faith

20190208_190734

“The Catholic Church does not need you to save her. She is here to save you.” I wrote these words five years ago, and I was reminded of them this morning. I don’t know why I am compelled so deeply to place it here, but it is.

Tonight, I was in awe to find my former Parish Adoration Chapel packed with souls sitting with our Lord. Awestruck. I cried, as it was not very long ago, I was here alone with our Lord for hours upon hours, with only a few regular souls who would come to sit with Him. I would pray to our Lord for conversions, for souls to hear His voice and to come to Him. Tonight, I was able to see them. I am grateful. Please read “Our Lady of Guadalupe“, a post I wrote during that time..

I am in the midst for reading the Manifesto of Faith, and I will comment on it when I have finished. Below is the link. Please read it and ponder it.

Cardinal Gerhard Müller has issued a forthright “manifesto of faith,” calling primarily on Church leaders to fulfil their obligation to lead people to salvation in the face of “growing confusion” about Church doctrine.

Living Faith

the_two_become_one

Ponder this for a moment:

You are married. You profess your unending love for your spouse. BUT only in your own home do you acknowledge your spouse.  Your marriage, nor your vows nor belief in your spouse play any part in your social life, political life, work life, nor anywhere but in the home. You do not take the love you profess into ANY aspect of your life except the only place your spouse is.  Your friends don’t know your spouse. Your co-workers don’t even know you are married. You vote for positions which inflect great harm to your spouse, without ANY regards for her well being and only for your own. You completely ignore your spouse when anyone is around because you don’t want to offend anyone.

Now..

Replace the word Spouse, with Catholic Faith.

If you practice the faith, you live it at all times. Not just when its convenient for you. Do we stop loving a spouse simply because we go to work, or a store or out with friends? No. Is the marriage vow void simply because we are not in the presence of our spouse? Of course not.

Your spouse is with you everywhere you go. Our  faith is everything to us and encompasses EVERYTHING about us. We protect it, we nurture it and we are in it for Love. To separate it from all other aspects of our life, we are like the unhappy spouse, who did not marry for love but for some other gain.

We are called by our Lord to live it. Live the faith. Let the world know you truly love your Spouse!

“And be sure of this: I am with you alwayseven to the end of the age”

Prayers For Conversion

ice-1997289_960_720_1516852336365_10118812_ver1.0_640_360

As one soul who excommunicated herself, unknowingly, and did come to the realization of how horrific my own sins were through our Lords grace, that had placed me outside, I pray for the conversion of all Catholics, who blatantly disregard the teachings of our Lord, to follow their own designs.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to Your most Sacred Heart,  I ask you please, my Lord and my God, send your Spirit to bring souls to the realization of their own sinfulness, for their salvation, and for the salvation of those who follow them, that they may be open to true repentance and turn back to You completely,  You most Merciful and Just Lord of all, that they may give all the praise, glory and honor to Our Father in Heaven, where he lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for all time and all eternity.
— Amen.

Love Remains

When the facade of worldly society crumbles, and souls become tossed in chaos and fear, there is always just One which remains standing, and He is calling on you to turn back to Him.

Love
