SAINT ELIJAH
Prophet and Our Father
Solemnity (O.Carm.)
Feast (O.C.D.)

Carmel in the twelfth century, followed monastic tradition in turning to Elijah as their Father and model.

Mighty in wonder, blessed in your merits,
Many times witness of his greatest marvels
