Pondering: He shall drink from the stream by the wayside
and therefore he shall lift up his head.

As I began praying tonight’s Vespers, the moment I started to pray the Psalmody, a bunch of pictures came to my heart.

Ant. 1 The Lord said to my Master: Sit at my right hand, alleluia.

Psalm 110:1-5, 7
The Messiah, king and priest

Christ’s reign will last until all his enemies are made subject to him (1 Corinthians 15:25).

He shall drink from the stream by the wayside
and therefore he shall lift up his head.

Stopped me for a moment, as our Holy Mother meeting our Lord on the way to Calvary flashed through as light. “He shall drink from the stream by the wayside” – Virgin Mary, Stream of Grace on the side of the road, in which our Lord carried the Cross for us on the wayside.

I than began to see from the OT, when Abraham pleads for Sodom. The conversation moment of “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked?” Our Holy Mother, sinless Virgin, still in need of salvation, as all of us sinners.

I then began to move onto Song of Songs – “Who is this that comes forth like the dawn
beautiful as the white moon, pure as the blazing sun,
fearsome as celestial visions?”  Seeing His Mother, the one created to carry Him in her womb, the very Tabernacle of Christ, carried Him again, in a way which can only be called a mystery by the look of Love for us all.

and therefore he shall lift up his head. ”

The Resurrection of our Lord.
