Culture Of Life

Is to see to it, that euthanasia and abortion are not only illegal, but unthinkable. For the love of the next generations..

ALfie11

The problem today is average souls have been brainwashed to believe that just because someone has a degree, they are right and just. They are just human as you and I. If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong…

Absolute Joy Of Christ

saint-nicholas6

“You will show me the path to life,
abounding joy in your presence,
the delights at your right hand forever.” Psalm 16:11

I love serving the homeless. I have been very close in many ways to walking in their shoes. I don’t have much to give, but what I have, I have no problem giving to those who have less than I do. Its said in this world that “the one with the most toys wins”. I couldn’t disagree more with this worldly statement. I know for a fact that the less attachment to the things in this world you have , the more peace in Christ you attain.

Yesterday as I was walking to Our Lady of the Rosary Church in San Diego, I noticed a man laying on the ground. As I got closer, without even thinking about it, I looked through my purse and found a few dollars. He was sleeping and the more looked at his face the more I seen our Lord. I couldn’t believe how much he reminded me of our Lord.

I tucked the money I had into his jacket and he never knew it. I continued on to our Lady of the Rosary, purchased a few things I needed, along with a few St. Nicholas Holy Cards. On my way back, I noticed I still had two dollars in my purse. The man was still laying on the ground and I tucked two more dollars into his coat with a St. Nicholas Holy Card.

He never knew I was there and the joy this brought to me is growing. Glory, praise and honor to our Lord. I LOVE serving Him in this way. All I can do, I can do for Him. ALl I have to give, I can give for Him. Please pray for this man and all our homeless brothers and sisters.

The prayer on the holy card I tucked into his jacket read:

God, Our Father, we pray that through Your intercession of St. Nicholas, you will protect our children. Keep them safe from harm and help them grow and become worthy in Your sight. Give them strength to keep their Faith in You; and to keep alive their joy in your creation. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen

St. Nicholas, Patron of Children, pray for us. All Saints of our Lord, pray for us. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us all

For Ever Present

TeresaAvila

“For though we know quite well that God is present in all that we do, our nature is such that it makes us lose sight of the fact; but when this favour is granted it can no longer do so, for the Lord, who is near at hand, awakens it. And even the favours aforementioned occur much more commonly, as the soul experiences a vivid and almost constant love for Him whom it sees or knows to be at its side.”

The Agony

christ-in-the-garden-of-gethsemane-1901 (1)

32 Then they came to a place named Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”

33 He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be troubled and distressed.

34 Then he said to them, “My soul is sorrowful even to death. Remain here and keep watch.”

35 He advanced a little and fell to the ground and prayed that if it were possible the hour might pass by him;

36 he said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Take this cup away from me, but not what I will but what you will.”

37 When he returned he found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour?

38 Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.”

39 Withdrawing again, he prayed, saying the same thing.

40 Then he returned once more and found them asleep, for they could not keep their eyes open and did not know what to answer him.

41 He returned a third time and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? It is enough. The hour has come. Behold, the Son of Man is to be handed over to sinners.

42 Get up, let us go. See, my betrayer is at hand.”

Mark 14 32:42

First Word

mama n Jesus

My daughter, who is only 8 years old always seems to ask me questions that are just so amazing about the faith, because they are so innocent. Most times, leaving me in a deep state of wonder. The latest question, is no different.

Her question to me was this: “Mommy? What was Baby Jesus first word?”

It set me off on a road of very deep pondering and contemplation of the relationship between our Infant Lord and our Holy Mother. I don’t ever want to leave this place where my daughter brought my thoughts.

As I thought of it deeply, it wasn’t until my girls and I set out tonight to the store that I simply asked Mama Mary out loud in prayer with my girls. Before the final word left my lips, an answer came to my heart.

Mama Mary, being full of grace and humility would never have taught our Lord to say Mama first, just as today she does not seek any glory for herself but only for Him. Abba! Came to my heart..

Glory to God in the highest…

EDIT TO ADD from my Facebook Page:

Whatever the normal first word uttered by any baby in the first century area around Bethlehem, in Aramaic, was probably the first word spoken, most probably related to mother and father. His perfect humanity is in the commonness which he shares with all of us in our infancy. That is the beauty of that humanity as is the look of love between mother and child as “she wrapped in him swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger.” That gaze of love rests in the heart of our Christmas celebration in Gift Given, Gift Received, Gift Shared. But since he is the Word-made-Flesh, he IS the First Word. A powerful question which leads to the simple Beauty and Goodness which draws us anew to the manger. – Fr. John P Mack Jr

Abba, Father

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth….

Children of God through Adoption

“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received a spirit of adoption, through which we cry, “Abba,* Father!” The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.”

Papa, as I often refer to Abba, Father, loves each of His children as if we are His only children. It is an indivisible, individual love, as He is love itself. No arms are bigger. No mercy greater then His. No Love stronger then His. No forgiveness more needed. Not only at difficult moments of my life, but at every moment. I reach up to Him, if only for a touch of His mighty hand. I seek His loving gaze in moments of joy, sorrow, torment and security. I long for His praise in doing His will, not for me but for Him. I accept His justice. I seek to be obedient to Him. He is my Creator. He knows my heart as He gave it to me. My heart is His as it is joined to His Son, my Lord.

The moments I have in His arms are priceless. The world dissipates and His world manifests. At times I am but an infant, others a toddler always in need of guidance. In both cases, I could never survive without Him. When I lay in His arms, time stands still and all the peace and tranquility imaginable takes hold of my soul. What lasts for a split second, leaves me with a lifetime of pondering that one second in His arms, placing nothing in this world above Him. That split second is all my soul desires.

All His creation glorify Him. From the rocks, trees, streams, mountains, oceans, birds and all animals. You can pick up a rock, and it is exactly what God created it to be, perfect. You can see the birds flying, feeding their young in the nests, building nests and they are being exactly what God called them to be. I seek only what Papa created me to be, so I to can glorify Him for eternity.

Happy Fathers Day Papa. You Father, moved heaven and earth not just for me, for all Your children, so we can love You more and spend eternity with You again. Thank you for adopting me out of the world and into Your loving arms. Although I ran away once, I am on my way back home to You. I love you Papa.
