Why We March – Day 8 #iStand4Life

his-image
Intercession

For an end to the use of the death penalty in our country.

JUSTICE! I want JUSTICE! Perfect justice is a conversion of heart..

Beloved, do not look for revenge but leave room for the wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” – Romans 12:19

When we look to our Lord, mercy and justice go hand and hand. What is more beautiful justice, to end another life or to convert the heart of that soul who’s been blinded by their own injustice to others? To see ones sin and turn from it to do good and not sin, is justice served. By taking away life, justice is there by taken away in the means that the soul is unable to make amends for that injustice committed.

How often to we look at others who have hurt us and say from our hearts,  “if you could only see how you are hurting.”. By taking away a life, we are not allowing that person to see, in their time, given to them by God, but rather taking justice into our own hands.Taking away the gift of repentance. Taking into our own hands and exercising the Sovereignty of God in a way that is contrary to God.

“Do I find pleasure in the death of the wicked—oracle of the Lord GOD? Do I not rejoice when they turn from their evil way and live? And if the just turn from justice and do evil, like all the abominations the wicked do, can they do this evil and still live? None of the justice they did shall be remembered, because they acted treacherously and committed these sins; because of this, they shall die”  Ezekiel 18:23-24

Voting For The Little Souls In 2016

child

We attended Holy Mass last night. We sat behind a group of souls (5 pews full) from Noah Homes, which is a group of developmentally disabled souls. No one asked them to come last night for any political specific reason. They didn’t get up to speak. Their presence ALONE to me, was a clear sign from our Lord telling ME, they are His little children who NEED someone to protect their right to life and to live, from this culture of death which believes souls like these have no right to be born, and as of late, can be euthanized, or as they like to pass it off today, put to sleep like pets because they do not fit the cookie cutter form of “human” this sick society, which deems these little souls as worthless. Their witness was AMAZING. All they were there for, was to worship our Lord.

At this point, when I ponder casting a vote for a 3rd party, I can only think of that vote being cast for my self righteousness. Knowing, that our Lord loved us first, as sinful as we are, before we all became aware of His love for us, and we in fact, made the choice to love Him back as obedient children. We know the plans of Clinton and the culture of death she wants to push further, as history has already played this card of Nazi Germany during WWII. We know that Trump once said the things he did, and now has not only changed his mind, BUT his actions are proving that he is pushing for pro life, be it in little ways. We KNOW that a 3rd party vote would split the Trump vote and place Clinton in the White House and make it a sure win once again for the culture of death. My conscious, my heart and my soul, in the current climate, after seeing these souls last night, tell me with out a doubt, I NEED to give my vote to Trump/Pence not for my own good, but for the good of these souls and the unborn, along with serious prayers for the conversion of this country, back to placing our Lord first, our neighbors second, ESPECIALLY the little ones, and myself last.

Peace.

Lord have mercy on us all and convert the hardened hearts of souls in this nation and all over the entire world.

The Temptation Of The Sexual Revolution

temptation_650_375

Pondering: Vatican II (inside the church) not being the reason souls left the pews, but the temptation of the ‘sexual revolution” (on the outside), being the “apple” many “fell for” that lead souls astray and out of the pews. Therefore our Lord was already prepared to address the needs of a society of souls far off, and the Father meeting them on the road to welcome them back home.

If souls were “obedient” and in love with our Lord, there wouldn’t have been a mass exodus. It’s as if a fear of something other than of our Lord gripped the souls in the pews rather than “trust” and “obedience” to our Lord, which holds all souls in love.. Just as a temptation that “original sin” is a thing of the past grips souls today and holds them in that same lack of “obedience” to God.

BUT “patience obtains all things” and “all things work for the greater glory of God”.

Just pondering….

Assisted Suicide

11168073_10153193163907914_1058056126852157057_n (1)

Rethink Assisted Suicide becoming law as this will become the reality if it is not stopped. Never forget that the (click link) T4 Program of Nazi Germany is the foundation of this law and it can easily become the “Assisted Suicide” program of any nation that has lost its moral compass.

We already see it today here in the USA through the passing of Roe VS Wade going from RARE instance to on demand. The very thought of passing a law to allow someone to murder their own children in the womb and now to commit suicide is the distinct sign, the moral compass of the nation is smashed and broken.

The “euthanasia” program was Nazi Germany’s first program of mass murder. It predated the genocide of European Jewry (the Holocaust) by approximately two years. The program was one of many radical eugenic measures which aimed to restore the racial “integrity” of the German nation. It endeavored to eliminate what eugenicists and their supporters considered “life unworthy of life”: those individuals who—they believed—because of severe psychiatric, neurological, or physical disabilities represented both a genetic and a financial burden on German society and the state.

When the government is making your health decisions, and paying for them, it quickly becomes the government who will pull the plug because of that bottom line.

Repent.

UPDATE: And now…

People are being euthanized in Europe… for autism

American Totalitarianism

totalitarianism-3-728

Regarding Kim Davis who now sits in jail for following her religious convictions and many other things in the USA …

In regards to the shamming of her personal life: What did our Lord say to the woman at the well? What did she do after her conversation with Him? Shamming her for her past and accusing her of bigotry is a “Gaslighting” tactic.

What this entire thing screams to me is Totalitarianism. What becomes of any Christian practicing their faith who holds political office? Is the rule and law of the land now, that NO ONE who believes in Jesus Christ or has faith in God can be in Government or hold a political office?

Remember what the Germans did to the Jews BEFORE slaughtering them. They stripped them of any positions they held, in government, schools and business, then they kicked them out of their family businesses, put them “out of business”, and confiscated them, then loaded them up and shipped them off to concentration camps. Before all this, if you were found in any way to have a mental condition, including Autism, you were systematically put to death by the “Government Run” medical association. With the blind eyes overlooking the horrors of abortion, the push for on demand euthanasia, murdering police officers for doing what they are paid to do, and now this? It all stinks of the “religion” of Nationalism, Political religion and it kills entire nations.

Lex iniusta non est lex

Lord have mercy on us all.

Still Support Abortion?

when-life-begins-300

The split second a life is conceived, its eternally there. You can not go back and make it any different. Life is alive and growing. Abortion can NEVER un conceive a life. It only ends it senselessly. Abortion is not a magical pill that makes everything never have exist in the first place. Having one, it adds 10 fold to the suffering the woman is already experiencing.

A message for ANYONE who STILL supports Abortion:

In a post Titled:
I Had a Secret Abortion at 18, and the Baby Parts Selling Scandal is Crushing Me

A “comment” was made by a woman that hits to the very heart of how women who support abortion today have lost their compassion.

EDITING OUT her name: “I’m not in your shoes, but I do t think you should despair. The scandal isn’t really a scandal – and any tissues donated from any source help save and improve countless future lives. You are also worth much more than a frail piece of tissue that separates “virgins” from “non-virgins.”” END QUOTE

To which I NEEDED to share and know needs to be shared here: – You stated: “I’m not in your shoes”. EXACTLY You are not. But I am in her shoes. Women like you should be ashamed of yourselves. If you don’t have a heart to understand the loss, realize you also don’t have the heart, nor the experience to give ANY advise to women who do. You prove you support something you don’t understand. Understand this. A women who has an abortion is always a mother. Will always be a mother. The second a life is conceived, it just doesn’t disappear and go away. One SPLIT SECOND of life in the womb of a woman, is eternal and nothing can change that. You can go back to your false concerns and false ideology that if I kill my child it never existed. To a women who realized this child will always be alive, that will never work. Nothing makes a life, never exist. For women who HAVE had an abortion, who now realize the ramifications of their decision, I offer you:

If you or someone you know is suffering after abortion, confidential non-judgmental help is available. Call Project Rachel’s national toll-free number: 888-456-HOPE (-4673) or visit HopeAfterAbortion.org.

Spanish-speakers may visit EsperanzaPosaborto.org

This is the mentality of the pro abortion culture. Its all about me, me, me. If I kill it, no one will ever know. If I have an abortion, it will just all go away. Wake up time. It doesn’t. That child is always the answer to the question gnawing at the soul: What am I missing?

“Where do we get the idea that we can love others if we reject God’s salvation for them? Not from God. Independence Day From Sinfulness

11695340_10207457036292125_947304448569329523_n

Saturday July 4th, I will be dedicating to our Holy Mother Mary and first Saturday. I ask you to join me as we celebrate her, our Catholic Faith and TRUE Independence from our sinfulness. I have my flag out already. I will be bringing my children to Holy Mass after we all receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Just an idea I feel needs to be shared.

“In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph.” – Our Lady of Fatima

FREEDOM!

All praise, honor and glory to our Lord, Jesus Christ.

EDIT to add:

Its not a call to abandon hope, nor to hide inside this day, but to celebrate LIFE in Christ. To still enjoy our Lords creation. TO STILL live the life our Lord has given to us and to appreciate Holiness in the Light. Its not that we are NOT still sinners, but rather we know we are and we are TRYING with the grace of God to get back home to our Lord, in TRUE Love. Agape!

11695846_10207456922289275_6412187377273130109_n

“Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!
Amen!”

EDIT:

The original photo has been changed at the top of this post. WITHOUT KNOWING, I was flying my Vatican Flag upside down for many many WEEKS. I didn’t know it. Today, I fixed it. Keep in mind ANY flag flown upside down is a sign of “distress” and NOT disrespect. Pray for this nation and the ENTIRE Church.

I Will Not Worship The Golden Calf

sv-semeistvo

REPENT…

All over the MSM you see “Love Wins” in regards to the same sex marriage law being man made legal in 50 US states. Yes. Love most certainly does win but most do not know who He is yet. I pray that many will receive the grace from our Lord for understanding of who He is.

Again SCOTUS chants “We have no king but Caesar”. Just as it was chanted through the pen for Abortion and now for Marriage. Jesus Christ is MY King, not the USA. It was Saint Augustine of Hippo who stated that “An unjust law is no law at all”. Just as an unjust law is no law at all, so to are the men and woman who enforce the unjust law. So to are those who follow the unjust law. I will not. I OPENLY refuse to worship the “Golden Calf” of the nation. Jesus Christ is my King. “But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15

From the USCCB

“Regardless of what a narrow majority of the Supreme Court may declare at this moment in history, the nature of the human person and marriage remains unchanged and unchangeable. Just as Roe v. Wade did not settle the question of abortion over forty years ago, Obergefell v. Hodges does not settle the question of marriage today. Neither decision is rooted in the truth, and as a result, both will eventually fail. Today the Court is wrong again. It is profoundly immoral and unjust for the government to declare that two people of the same sex can constitute a marriage.”

Please continue to read at the link.

Repent. Pray Divine Office 3X daily. Pray the Rosary daily. Pray before every meal. Attend daily Holy Mass (if you can) and if you can not, participate in it through EWTN rebroadcast. Pray without ceasing. Receive the sacraments frequently. “LOVE one another as I have loved you” – Be not afraid. DO not give into disrepair. Give in only to our Lord Jesus Christ. Teach your children to do the same! LIVE the faith. Don’t just talk about it.

The Sacrament of Marriage will never change.

The Death of Secularism

images (40)

Its not the Catholic Church that has failed in Ireland with the passing of same sex Marriage. She never can. It is secularism that blinked exposing itself for the terminal cancer it has always been and many souls are suffering because of it. When our Lord was crucified and put to death, the secular world thought that was the end of Him also. False peace, is what same sex Marriage, abortion, and all that contradicts what is Right and Just in our Lord, is.

The secular world has always contradicted our Lord. It does not mean in any way they win or they can change anything. It means our Lord is Right and Just. Stick with Him. Not them. Do not cling to anything but Him. The gates of hell shall not prevail. Pray for those who persecute you. May they who have been swayed by secularism away from the Truth, be converted back to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Your country can not save you. Your family can not save you. Your friends can not save you. Only Christ can save you. Place your Faith, Hope and Love back in Jesus Christ and nothing else. Repent. Not only Ireland, but everyone. Return to your first Love. God never changes. “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

There is a good reason for the upcoming Year of Mercy and our Lord Jesus Christ knows what He is doing.

Repent. Our Lord converted my heart when I was far off from Him, when my ideas of life were actually death to my soul. I pray today for the conversion of all who are still far away from Him through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Mother, Spouse of the most Holy Spirit, intercede for us and bring us into the fullness of the Sacred Heart of your Son, our Lord. Amen

Cardinal Wojtyla (Pope John Paul II) in an address during the Eucharistic Congress in 1976 for the Bicentennial celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence … said:
“We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has ever experienced. I do not think that the wide circle of the American Society, or the whole wide circle of the Christian Community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-church, between the gospel and the anti-gospel, between Christ and the antichrist. The confrontation lies within the plans of Divine Providence. It is, therefore, in God’s Plan, and it must be a trial which the Church must take up, and face courageously

The Demon Wolves of ISIS: Ancient Assyria Reborn

images9LLADWRP

I seen a photo of a woman. Her hands were bound along with her legs. Her head was held over a basin. Her throat was slashed and the blood drained out of her naked body into the basin. How much more brutalization of Christians will convince you that this is evil. That this IS the evil one committing these atrocities through “Secularism” in Iraq? And through silence of this, in the rest of the world? How much more silence do you think we can we endure from the world? I WILL NOT POST THE PHOTO out of respect.

“Those who remain silent are responsible.” -St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein)

Must read! Yes! This is taking place today!

Fr. Dwight Longenecker

The Demon Wolves of ISIS: Ancient Assyria Reborn

Lord Byron’s poem The Destruction of Sennacherib begins with the line, “The Assyrian came down like a wolf on the fold.”

My friend Paul Thigpen makes the link between the warlords of the Islamic State (IS) and their historic predecessors, the warlike Assyrians.

Two ancient civilizations jockeyed for power in what is now the nation of Iraq: Babylon to the south and Assyria to the North.

The Assyrian Empire was centered on the exact geographical territory that Islamic State now claims–Eastern Syria and Northern Iraq.

Assyria emerged as a territorial state in the 14th century B.C. Its territory covered approximately the northern part of modern Iraq. The first capital of Assyria was Assur, located about 150 miles north of modern Baghdad on the west bank of the Tigris River. The city was named for its national god, Assur, from which the name Assyria is also derived.

While the Babylonian Empire was known for its accomplishments in learning, architecture, and the arts, the Assyrians were known as experts in warfare. Cruel, bloodthirsty and proud, they bragged about their military victories and heartless oppression of their victims.

Religious Freedom In The USA Is In DANGER

the_church_has_outlived_every_major_empire_poster-r6d571600f4b84db5a63743ea4e4ccef8_w2q_8byvr_512

Since the Supreme Court ruled on the Hobby Lobby case, some members of Congress are trying an end around to undermine our religious freedom.

YOU need to get involved with this one. YOU need to pick up your phone and call your senators or write an email. Concrete helpful info and links, below.

Here is the explanation

Cardinal O’Malley, Archbishop Lori To Senate: Oppose Bill That Attacks Religious Freedom

WASHINGTON—In a letter sent July 14 to all U.S. Senators, Cardinal Seán O’Malley of Boston and Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore stated their “strong opposition to the misnamed ‘Protect Women’s Health From Corporate Interference Act of 2014’ (S. 2578).” Cardinal O’Malley and Archbishop Lori chair the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’s Committee on Pro-Life Activities and Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty, respectively.

“Though cast as a response to the Supreme Court’s narrow decision in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby, the bill ranges far beyond that decision, potentially attacking all existing federal protections of conscience and religious freedom regarding health coverage mandates,” they wrote.

The two bishops identified several areas of concern with the bill, including its unprecedented curtailment of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993; its potential for overriding other federal conscience protections, including the Hyde-Weldon amendment on abortion; its application to coverage mandates beyond the HHS contraceptive mandate; its application to employers beyond for-profit businesses; and its denial of religious freedom for employees and their minor dependents, not just employers.

“In short, the bill does not befit a nation committed to religious liberty. Indeed, if it were to pass, it would call that commitment into question. Nor does it show a genuine commitment to expanded health coverage, as it would pressure many Americans of faith to stop providing or purchasing health coverage altogether. We oppose the bill and urge you to reject it,” they wrote.

Full text of the letter is available online HERE.

More HERE.

WHAT TO DO?

Recommended Actions:

Send e-mails through NCHLA’s Action Center. Click HERE.
Contact your Senators by phone. Call the U.S. Capitol switchboard at: 202-224-3121, or call Senators’ local offices. Full contact info is on Senators’ web sites at: http://www.senate.gov.

Suggested Message: “Please vote against the Protect Women’s Health from Corporate Interference Act (S. 2578). This misnamed measure would revoke conscience rights now guaranteed by the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and other federal laws. In the future it could empower federal officials to mandate abortion or any other item in all health plans, forcing Americans to violate their deeply held religious and moral beliefs on respect for human life.”

When: The Senate may vote as early as the week of July 14. Please contact your Senators today!

“Hope And Change”

gods-way-hope-and-change

Pondering Obama: While he spouted “Hope & Change” he couldn’t “see”, that, “Hope & Change” only truly comes through Christ. Evil, be it intentions or actions, never win.

One need look only on Obama, and the “works” of his political party to see we NEED to turn back to God. “Return To Our First Love”.

Little did Obama know that his promise of “Hope & Change” was actually God calling the faithful to “see” him and what is going on in this nations for what it is. Spotlight on evil. We know. Glory to God for shedding light on evil for what it is. Glory to God for pulling souls closer to Him.

“Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam” – We know all things work for the greater glory of God. See God in all things. See God in all creation. See God in all souls.

Repent. Turn back to God. Love God above all things.

Over the gates of hell reads a sign, “Abandon ye hope all who enter here.” but over the gates of heaven reads but one word, “Forgiven!” – Dante Alighieri (Divine Comedy)

Culture of Death – Evil

christ_dachau.preview

I came across the story while walking through my family’s past, reminiscing about my Great Uncle in Slovakia who survived the Nazis and the Communists. Some days I am just overwhelmed by not being able to stop thinking about what took place in that time. How so many souls went to their death in Nazi Camps. How souls living near the camps allowed it as if it was nothing. Because they just didn’t care and it didn’t affect them. I would be willing to bet the justifications by so many today FOR Abortion, and pro Choice are exactly the same as the justifications by those who did NOTHING to stop the slaughter of millions back then. Today, truly is no different. With great understanding, nothing has changed.

While the Nazis nurtured the illusion of limitless technological and social progress and a racially purified utopian worker/agricultural paradise…they created the archetypal “culture of death”
The Germans murdered over a million Jewish children. Like the sick and the old, they were viewed as useless mouths to feed and often among the first killed. Some were used in medical experiments, but newborns were typically murdered at birth.
– Sound familiar today? Tell me what has changed? Nothing. Evil always hides behind a name. Nazi was that name in the 30’s & 40’s. But the evil is still here. Hiding behind another name. The key is not to stamp out the name, but the evil itself. As long as we continue to feed the “culture of death”, by way of complicity, lackadaisical caring, or just not giving a damn, we are doomed to repeat the past. And we are repeating it today. How many children today are murdered daily through Abortion because we view them as less than human? How about post birth abortion? Aborted children used in stem cell research? How can they be less then human when we ourselves we that little once. They are no less human than you or I.

This is not just the “culture of death” mentality but evil itself. The pro death (Pro Abortion) argument today is no different than the pro Nazi argument of the past. Its LEGAL. Just because man creates a law that goes against what is right, does not make it okay.

Vocation Of Motherhood

OurLadyofMt_Carmel2

Ever since my conversion began back in 1998, I have been struggling with the idea that I could somehow be a mom and faithful to our Lord as I have been called. Last night as I was washing dishes I realized just how seriously under attack I had been over the years by the evil one, and still am.

I learned last night one of the most evil things to ponder is, “If I would have” or “I should have never” in regards to setting my life completely on religious life, rather than on the family I have been blessed with, all leading to ponder regrets. I have been plagued by this thought since the beginning, only now realizing this is not the voice of our Lord. This is the voice of the Culture of Death saying don’t have children, pursue YOUR selfish wants. Take care of YOU first.

It’s no different then the woman who puts off marriage and children to advance her career to become something other than what she was created to be. Constantly chasing after that carrot on the stick that she could never get to take a bite of because as you move forward, the stick carrying that carrot, moves at the same pace. Leading us to haul a bigger cart of misery and regrets, “Oh if I had married that man who loved me I would have a family by now”.

Our Lord never moves the goal posts. He moves the players to enable them to score the touchdown. The evil one constantly moves the goal posts making it impossible to score, no matter how much effort you put into the play. You could be wide open, receive the ball and just about to cross the goal and with every step, the goal becomes further and further out of reach. In the end, you never score. No matter how many times you try.

The gift of my family and the vocation of Marriage and Motherhood, is what needs to be placed first and when we place them above what we are searching for, and place ourselves last, we quickly understand our Lord is present in our own homes, waiting for that hug, to be tucked into bed, to be told to brush teeth and to pray with. Every action that has been done to pull closer to our Lord outside of the home, is brought into the home to be shared so in turn they can share it with their children.

In all religious communities, the soul seeks to live in communion with others, seeking the same goal, to score one for our Lord. Its teamwork on the spiritual level and the hardest part of this Vocation of Marriage and Motherhood, outside of the Religious Life, is knowing without a doubt we are all on the same team, and our goal is to ensure, not that I score the touchdown, but that the one of us does, so we all give the glory to God. Not to live and play on the team of the Culture of Death, where life is frowned upon, but rather the Culture of Life, to allow all God’s creation to continue.

Thank you Mama Mary, Queen of Heaven, on this day of your Nativity for this day to understand that we all have a bigger role to play in God’s plans and with humility and casting away self, to raise the next generation, allowing us to see life through His eyes and understand the smaller we become, the bigger the plans He has for us. I ask you to cover all mothers with your mantle, that they may be guided by your perfection in all motherly ways. Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for us. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us all.

The World In Which We Live

abyss

Taken from Paul Claudel, via Magnificat Monday, from a meditation of his on the Apostles’ Creed:

We live… in a state of disorder. There has been a corruption of the original order, of the order that charged all things to become visible; there has been a warping of certain wheels, which causes friction throughout the mechanism. The disorder cannot, by definition, be the work of the Creator, because everything that proceeds from him is, by definition, good. Therefore it can only be the work of the free creature, free to choose himself as an end, instead of God who has no end.
Difference, preference … this false preference is the so-called original sin, which is the result of this original difference away from God in which the creature delights, and delights as an end in itself.
The consequence of original sin, by which the finite being chooses himself as end, is the End, either death or separation — separation for the rebel angels forever banned from life, death for man who loses his body, or the essential difference in which he delights.
By his sin, man withdraws from God his body and the service of his body, to which all nature is bound in solidarity. He is no longer “adjusted.” What he robbed while in a state of grace he cannot now restore in a state of sin. God alone can restore God (or God’s work) to himself by a sort of recreation or regeneration.”Fiat,” says the Father, “voluntas mea.” “Fiat voluntas tua,” answers the Son.

If you think for a second, that “American Entertainment” is anything less than one huge pornography industry, you are greatly mistaken. Vulgarity has replaced every aspect of clean entertainment that all one can see anymore is the manifestation of a very perverse nation, with a twisted reality, who has lost her entire set of morals and values.

It’s pathetic to see a nation of hungry animals just waiting for that “child actor” to be taken into the abyss of “sex sells”. If sex sells, what is it selling but more sex and all you have left is sex, then there is nothing left to sell. You are left only to the realization, you have already sold your own souls and all that “free love” was not so free.

Such is the world in which we live, but not where we are to stay.

Our Lord is looking for you…

The Carcinogen Of Secularism

deathskull

This is what happens when society continues to vote for the lesser of two evils.

In the beginning, the “evil” doesn’t “seem” so bad, (It doesn’t affect me) but over time, it grows into something so large, it tramples everything good in its path that stands in the way of it ruling every life that it has been growing in. Abortion: Made legal in 1973 in the USA, but laws protecting the faithful from government paying for them was enacted. (Band Aid) Society KNEW it was wrong but did it anyway.

This is the war between the Culture of Life and the Culture of Death. Truth verses lies. It’s very obvious to see the destructive path this man, Obama, (Although it could be anyone who subscribes to this way of thinking) and the Culture of Death are leading our nation into, from the same destructive path she has been on for many years. It’s just now, under his control, the evil has become big enough to see without a microscope.

Secularism is the cancerous “tumor” in society and it is always life threatening. The culture of death starts like a single cell of cancer, that without “cutting it out” but rather placing a band-aid over it, enters the lymphatic system of society and metastasize into many areas, until it makes us all physically sick. Leading only to death. We know, over time, the Band-Aid always falls off.

The cure can only be found in the Truth. God help us.

This post is not just about abortion, but ALL the aspects of the Culture of Death. We, the Catholic Church, the faithful who believe, ARE the cure! Alone against society, the cure has been non responsive, collected together, the monster of the culture of death in which we live can and WILL be defeated. Like radiation attacking a tumor, we need to work together. Beginning in each and every home. Radiating out into the society in which we live.

“Let nothing disturb you” does not mean don’t act on anything. It means act on what our Lord is telling you to act on, in the face of every condemnation that may come as He is with you. When a soul reaches out to you, reach back out to them. Don’t feel a need to stay in your comfort zone to protect YOUR faith but reach out to those in need to BRING them the consolation our Lord has given to you, least you become to “rich” to move in any direction, including closer to Him for the benefit of the entire Church and all society at death’s door, giving all the glory to God.

“We must never grow accustomed to evil!” – Pope Francis

Peaceful Coexistence

coexist1

Do you see Jesus on this cross in this picture? He is not there so do not pretend He is.

“Then came coexistence. Never once during the public life did anyone know that Judas was the guilty man; when he spoke of the poor, some of the disciples joined in with him; and at the Last Supper when he left the table, it was thought that he had gone out to give money to the poor or buy food for the feast. His coexistence was so clever that only John knew who he was – and, of course, the all-knowing Lord. Even the best were deceived.”

–Fulton Sheen; On Being Human: Reflections, On Life and Living, 1982 – composite of writings going back to 1943 under ‘Bishop Sheen writes’, pg, 288.

The Political Kiss of Betrayal

No one has ever written a philosophy of betrayal, unless it was Machiavelli who told kings and princes how to deceive their fellowmen. But his counsel was not actual betrayal, but just sheer worldly, pragmatic advise in which the useful became identified with the true. Actually, the pattern and the model of betrayal has been written -and forgotten. Take, for example, the principle upon which the Soviets (and G20 leaders today) conducted their international policy. It can be reduced to three principles: 1. Materialism; 2. Coexistence; 3. Betrayal at the moment of greatest friendship and coexistence.

First , materialism. Its basic principle is denial of God and the soul. God must be denied, because if there is a power other than the Party or the dictator, then men have other rights and duties under liberty than those given them by the Party (Like thinking about self-reliance; self-governance). The foundation of our rights and liberties as given in the Declaration of Independence is that they are given by God. The soul must be denied too by the Communists, because the soul contemplates and thinks for itself. But any personal thought which cannot be socially controlled must be denied by Communists in order that there be only one thought-namely, the Party thought.

The second principle is coexistence. This is a Soviet word, not the word of a free people. The latter never ask themselves if they should coexist. Such talk would be nonsense between Canada and the United States. Coexistence is a Soviet suggestion that relations which exist between the free people of the world who believe in decency, morality, honesty, and truth should be extended to the Soviet Union which Lenin said must use every lie, stratagem, ruse, and deceit in order to foster world revolution.

The basis of coexistence talk is given in an article published in the Soviet Union in 1954 by a certain Leontyvev. His argument was that the atomic bomb makes war mutually destructive of the powers which engage in it. The Soviets can no longer rely upon their mighty armies and those of the satellites to conquer the world. Hence, there must be “long periods of coexistences” with democratic and free people, until the historical moment arrives for the world conquest of communism. (Are we there yet?)

The third principle is that the betrayal of those who fall for coexistence must be at the moment of greatest intimacy and friendship. For example on August 31, 1939, the Soviets signed a pact recognizing the independence of Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia. On this occasion the Soviet Government published the following: “These pacts of mutual assistance strictly stipulate the inviolability of the sovereignty of the signatory powers, and the principle of non-interference in each other’s affairs. We stand for the scrupulous and punctilious observance of the pacts on the basis of complete reciprocity, and we declare that all the spreading of nonsense about Sovietizing the Baltic countries is only to the advantage of our common enemies, and of all Soviet provocateurs.”
The following year, the Soviets annexed the three countries. Is this pattern of betrayal new? Or does it follow a line which brought upon the world its greatest blackness? The model of deceit and betrayal was actually set by Judas. First of all, avarice was not his basic sin; it was materialism, or denial of spiritual values. The first mention of avarice as regards Judas comes at the very end of his life, though he is described as a traitor much earlier when Our Lord spoke of Himself as God, and foretold that he would suffer and die, rise and ascend again into heaven. When He refused to be King of the masses, when He refused to establish a kingdom based on earthly bread, Judas broke, for he had nothing but contempt for the spiritual.

Then came coexistence. Never once during the public life did anyone know that Judas was the guilty man; when he spoke of the poor, some of the disciples joined in with him; and at the Last Supper when he left the table, it was thought that he had gone out to give money to the poor or buy food for the feast. His coexistence was so clever that only John knew who he was-and, of course, the all knowing Lord. Even the best were deceived.

The third stage came at the moment of greatest affection, when Judas kissed Our Lord and then delivered Him over to the soldiers. Sacred things can be betrayed only by some mark of affection and esteem. LET AMERICA BEWARE!

To pleas for coexistence, America must ask, “Wilt thou betray with a kiss?”

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35

Did Jesus condone sinful behavior? No. Because that is not love. Jesus corrected the sinful behavior through His forgivness and the words: “Go and sin NO MORE”. He never said, go do what makes you feel good.

Wake Up America

Wake Up America

Painting by artist Jon McNaughton. His website is www.JonMcNaughton.com

America has been chained to the Culture of Death and only God can remove the chains…

The sexualization of women and our children, homosexual marriage, abortion, adultery, divorce, pornography, prostitution, strip clubs, sexting by teens… All mortal sins.

All the social norms in America. Why? Because the moral compass of this nation is broken and the first thing you will hear is “Well? Not everyone believes in God”. I do. Why should I have to give up my rights because someone does not believe?. It’s not showing tolerance to back down from your faith in God because others do not believe. Its giving into sin and lack of faith in God. We sit and laugh when other nations call the US the Great Satan, but I ask you today to open your eyes and look arround you. Take an account of what is going on here… Look at the filth we are sitting in and tell me if we are one nation under God or if we are one nation gone under.

The End

Eternal_father_painting_guadalupe

Spanish conquest of Yucatán…..

Remember, O most gracious Virgin of Guadalupe, that in your apparitions on Mount Tepeyac you promised to show pity and compassion to all who, loving and trusting you, seek your help and protection.
Accordingly, listen now to our supplications and grant us consolation and relief. We are full of hope that, relying on your help, nothing can trouble or affect us. As you have remained with us through your admirable image, so now obtain for us the graces we need. Amen.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mystical Rose, make intercession for the Holy Church, protect the Sovereign Pontiff, help all those who invoke thee in their necessities, and since thou art the ever Virgin Mary, and Mother of the True God, obtain for us from thy most holy Son the grace of keeping our faith, of sweet hope in the midst of the bitterness of life, of burning charity, and the precious gift of final perseverance. Amen.

12-12-12 (tribes of Israel, apostles of Jesus; human completion) Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe

In 1523, just two years after the Aztec capital of Tenochitlan fell to Hernán Cortés and his Conquistadors, the first Roman Catholic missionaries arrivd to begin the religious conquest of Mexico.
Among their first converts was a man baptized with the Christian name Juan Diego. On the chilly morning of December 9, 1531, Juan Diego crossed the barren hill called Tepeyac to attend Mass. He was brought to a sudden halt by a blinding light and the sound of heavenly music. Before him appeared an astounding vision–a beautiful dark-skinned woman who, calling the Indian “my son”, declared herself to be the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. She told Juan Diego it was her desire to have a church built on Tepeyac hill, and asked him to relay that message to Bishop Juan de Zumarraga. It was no easy task for the humble Indian to be granted an audience with the top prelate, but the persistent Juan Diego was finally admitted. The incredulous Bishop demanded that he be provided with some proof of the unlikely encounter. Confused and fearful, Juan Diego avoided Tepeyac for several days, but on December 12, while rushing to find a priest to attend a seriously ill uncle, he took a short cut across the hill. The Virgin once again appeared and Juan Diego told her of the Bishop’s request. The Virgin instructed him to pick roses from the usually barren and desolate hill and deliver them to Zumarraga as the sign.
Juan Diego gathered up the miraculous blossoms in his mantle and hurried off to complete his mission. Once again before the Bishop, he let the roses spill out before him. To the wonder of all assembled, a perfect image of La Virgen of Guadalupe was revealed emblazoned on Juan Diego’s cloak.
Juan Diego’s mantle, carefully preserved in the new Basilica, has been subjected to extensive analysis over the years. Experts have authenticated the fabric as dating to the 16th century, but have been unable to determine the type of pigment from which the image was rendered. It seems doubtful that in the Colonial era in Mexico human hands were capable of creating a portrait of its exquisite nature. It is even doubtful it can be done in Mexico today. Most wonderous of all, after 465 years, the image of the Virgen de Guadalupe remains clearly imprinted on the miraculous cloak without visible signs of deterioration.
By order of the Bishop, a small church was soon constructed on the site designated by the Virgin. Skeptics are quick to point out the unlikely coincidence of the Virgin’s appearance on Tepeyac, the very site of an Aztec temple dedicated to Tonatzin (earth godess, mother of the gods and protectress of humanity) which had been devastated by order of Bishop Zumarraga.
The original church was replaced by a larger structure built in 1709. The Miracle of Guadalupe was officially recognized by the Vatican in 1745. The second sanctuary was declared a Basilica in 1904. A new Basilica, of modern design and enormous capacity, was dedicated in October of 1976. This is found in the northern section of present-day Mexico City.
In this and other churches dedicated to La Virgen de Guadalupe throughout the nation, millions of the faithful will gather December 12 for processions, prayers, songs, dances, and fireworks to honor “La Reina de México” (the Queen of Mexico).
In essence, the Spanish conquest of 1519-1521 destroyed the core of Aztec religion-the cult of warfare and human sacrifice. The Aztecs were no longer able to feed the sun, yet the universe survived, and Huitzilopochtli was discredited. Aztec religion had lost its focus by 1531.
The Aztecs practiced human sacrifice on a wholesale scale.
We must remember that the Aztecs offered annually at least 20,000 men, women and children in human sacrifice to their gods. In 1487, just in a single 4 days long ceremony for the dedication of a new temple in Tenochtitlan, some 80,000 captives were killed in human sacrifice.
Taken from The Mystery of the Virgin of Guadalupe

O most gracious Virgin of Guadalupe, help the world to put an end to the senseless murder of the unborn. Through the Holy Spirit of my Lord, convert the hearts of all who partake in the Culture of Death and please O Lord, Christ my King, have mercy on us all. Amen

Today’s Genocide

Exhibit of shoes from the victims of Auschwitz

I spent most of this morning pondering the Holocaust of WWII. The genocide of approximately six million European Jews during World War II. I looked at many photos of the men, women and children who were exterminated because no one at the time believe they held any worth to the human race. Those who carried out the crimes and those who did nothing to stop it. I pondered the closeness of each concentration camp in proximity to villages and wondered how towns and nearby villages could allow such things to continue as if it was nothing.

Children, all murdered by Nazis

These are the faces we have seen. What about all the unseen faces, souls who were not photographed, that entered these camps never to be seen again?

My mind immediately wandered to today. I beg my readers to understand I am in no way trying to diminish the severity of what happened to all these souls. Not at all, I want to point out that this atrocity is continuing now, everywhere in the world where abortion is legal. The United States, China, and every nation on earth is commiting the same genocide today under a sanitized name called abortion. There is no difference. We are souls, created in the image of God, not insignificant body’s of flesh.

What caused the Genocide of all these souls in Europe, all six million, is the same cause of the murder of approximately 42 million infants every year throughout the world. No compassion. No love. Pure selfish ambition. Rather pinning this on the insanity of one man, we can pin the genocide of every infant today on the madness of entire society’s that push for abortion to continue. Along with those who do nothing to stop it. We have ourselves to blame for allowing this to continue.

That first picture of the shoes, touched the very heart of my being. I wish someone would collect baby booties of every human taken by abortion in the world and place them on display, for the world to see. The shoes that will never be filled, the smiles that will never be seen, the giggles that will never be heard, because society decided to do nothing to stop this. The world and the sickness of this pro culture of death society decided rather to make excuses to justify the killing of all these children, the most innocent souls among us.

“Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

May God have mercy on us all.

Father in Heaven, we thank You for the gift of life. Grant that all mothers who give birth will welcome their babies with love, but if the mothers feel they are unable to raise their babies, grant that they may be compassionate toward the life You have given and not destroy it before birth. To those children who have been wantonly deprived of earthly life grant whatever happiness to which they are entitled. And to the mothers who have denied them life in this world grant Your merciful grace of repentance and reconciliation with Our Savior, so that they may obtain eternal life. Grant also the grace of conversion to those who perform abortions and anyone associated with abortion.

Mary, Mother of God, intercede for us. Holy Innocents, pray for us. Amen.

The Reign Of Christ The King

Oh my LORD! Oh my King Jesus Christ; for I know your return is soon…

I picked up a book a few months ago, but in packing it up, and unpacking, rediscovered it and read it at Adoration this morning. I was covered in goosebumps! For Christ is my King and there is no other!

The book: The reign of Christ the King. Below, is what I have ascribed to for some time, without knowledge of this book and it was written about in 1992.

From the book:

On 11 December 1925, Pope Pius XI promulgated his encyclical letter Quas primas, on the Kingship of Christ. The encyclical dealt with what the Pope described correctly as “the chief cause of the difficulties under which mankind was laboring.” He explained that the manifold evils in the world are due to the fact that the majority of men have thrust Jesus Christ and His holy law out of their lives; that Our Lord and His holy law have no place either in private life or in politics; and, as long as individuals and states refuse to submit to the rule of our Saviour, there will be no hope of lasting peace among nations. Men must look for the peace of Christ in the Kingdom of Christ—Pax Christi in Regno Christi.

Let all the earth fear the Lord: and let all the inhabitants of the world be in awe of Him. For He spoke and they were made: He commanded and they were created.

encyclical of Pius XII,
Quas Primas.

Thus the empire of our Redeemer embraces all men. To use the words of Our immortal predecessor, Pope Leo XIII: ʺHis empire includes not only Catholic nations, not only baptized persons who, though of right belonging to the Church, have been led astray by error, or have been cut off from her by schism, but also all those who are outside the Christian faith; so that truly the whole of mankind is subject to the power of Jesus Christ.ʺ Nor is there any difference in this matter between the individual and the family or the State; for all men, whether collectively or individually, are under the dominion of Christ. In him is the salvation of the individual, in him is the salvation of society. ʺNeither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given to men whereby we must be saved.ʺ He is the author of happiness and true prosperity for every man and for every nation. ʺFor a nation is happy when its citizens are happy. What else is a nation but a number of men living in concord?ʺ If, therefore, the rulers of nations wish to preserve their authority, to promote and increase the prosperity of their countries, they will not neglect the public duty of reverence and obedience to the rule of Christ. What We said at the beginning of Our Pontificate concerning the decline of public authority, and the lack of respect for the same, is equally true at the present day. ʺWith God and Jesus Christ,ʺ we said, ʺexcluded from political life, with authority derived not from God but from man, the very basis of that authority has been taken away, because the chief reason of the distinction between ruler and subject has been eliminated. The result is that human society is tottering to its fall, because it has no longer a secure and solid foundation.ʺ

From the book:

THE UNIVERSAL RIGHTS OF CHRIST

The answer to these questions is that in this encyclical Pope Pius XI reaffirmed the unbroken teaching of his predecessors upon the papal throne that states as well as individuals must submit themselves to the rule of Christ the King. In affirming this fundamental truth of our faith, Pope Pius was not referring simply to Catholic nations, or even to Christian nations, but to the whole of mankind. He stated this truth unequivocally by quoting a passage from the encyclical, Annum Sacrum of Pope Leo XIII:

The empire of Christ the King includes not only Catholic nations, not only baptized persons who, though of right belonging to the Church, have been led led astray by error, or have been cut off from her by schism, but also all those who are outside the Christian faith; so that truly the whole of mankind is subject to the power of Jesus Christ.
All men, both as individuals and as nations, are subject to the rule of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King, and this for two reasons. Firstly, because, as God, He is our Creator. We are His creatures. Without Him we could not exist. We owe Him everything, and He owes us nothing. Those who are created have an absolute obligation to love and serve their Creator, This obligation is unqualified; there are no “ifs,” no “buts,” and, as we shall see, no question of any possible right on the part of any man at any time to withhold his obedience.

It is only when men live their lives within the correct perspective of the Creator-creature relationship that social and political harmony and order prevail. “the peace of Christ is the Kingdom of Christ.” When men repudiate this relationship, disharmony and disorder take over, the disharmony and disorder of sin, the disharmony and disorder introduced for the first time into the whole creation when the Archangel Lucifer. the most magnificent of all God’s creatures, was overcome with pride and boasted: Non serviam — “I will not serve.” The Catechism teaches us that our purpose in life is to know, love, and serve God in this world so that we can be happy with Him forever in the next. We cannot claim to love God if we do not serve Him, and we cannot claim to serve God if we do not subject ourselves to the law of Christ the King.

“If you love Me, He warned, “keep My Commandments.” [John 14:15]

In Quas Primas, Pope Pius XI explains the second reason that we must subject ourselves to Our Lord. He explains the beautiful and profound truth that Christ is our King by acquired, as well as by natural right, for He is our Redeemer. “Would that those who forget what they have cost Our Savior,” the Pope admonished us, “might recall the words: ‘You were not redeemed with corruptible things, but with the precious Blood of Christ, as of a Iamb unspotted and undefiled.’ We are no longer our own, for Christ has purchased us ‘with a great price;’ our very bodies are the ‘members of Christ.’ ”

The double claim of Our Lord Jesus Christ to our allegiance, as our Creator and our Redeemer, is well summarized in the Book of the Apocalypse, where St. John tells us that Christ is “the ruler of the kings of the earth.” (Apoc. 17: 18). The fact that the kings of the earth —– in other words, the nations and those who rule them —– are subject to the Kingship of Christ pertains to what is known as His Social Kingship, that is, His right to rule over societies as well as individuals.

THE SOCIAL KINGSHIP OF CHRIST

No one claiming to be a Christian would, one hopes, dispute the fact that as individuals we must submit ourselves to the rule of Christ the King, but very few Christians, Catholics included, and conservative Catholics among them, understand, let alone uphold, the Social Kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ. This is an attitude which is very common among certain well-known politicians in the United States who, while claiming to be Catholics, state with apparent pride that they do not permit their private beliefs to impinge upon their public duties. They uphold with apparent certainty the principle of the separation of Church and State. [This is a very strange attitude fur a Catholic to take, but some of these politicians appear to be very strange Catholics.]

The separation of Church and State was condemned unequivocally by the Roman Pontiffs until the Second Vatican Council. The Church’s teaching is that the State has an obligation to render public worship to God in accord with the teachings of the True Church, the Catholic Church, and positively to aid the Catholic Church in the carrying out of her functions. The State does not have the right to remain neutral regarding religion, much less to pursue a secular approach in its policies. A secular approach is by that very fact an anti-God and an anti-Christ approach. This unequivocal teaching was summarized very clearly by Pope St. Pius X, who, in his encyclical Vehementer Nos, condemned the principle of the separation of Church and State as “an absolutely false and most pernicious thesis.”

The practical consequences of this Catholic teaching are difficult to imagine for those of us who have known nothing but a secular state, in which the State claims to have no responsibilities in matters of religion and morality. [The secular state outlaws certain immoral acts, not because they are immoral, but because the majority wish them outlawed.]

Nevertheless, we must admit that this claim of the secular state is profoundly wrong.

The only word adequate to describe the claim by a Catholic politician that he will not allow his private beliefs to impinge upon his public duties is blasphemy —– or at least open rebellion against God. For the Commandments of God are binding in public as well as in private, and it is blasphemous for a Christian to maintain the contrary.

The Commandment “Thou shalt not kill” precludes the taking of innocent human life. We can take another human life only as an act of self-defense, to save our lives, those of our families or friends or our fellow citizens against an unjust aggressor; but never, never, never, does any human being have the right to take the life of an innocent person. Unborn infants certainly come into this category, a fact stated forcefully, courageously, and unambiguously by our Holy Father Pope John Paul II in his encyclical letter Centesimus Annus of 1 May 1991, commemorating the centenary of Pope Leo XIII’s encyclical Rerum Novarum. May God bless him for it.

Who could be more innocent of aggressive intent than an unborn child within the womb of his mother? Who could be more clearly protected by God’s absolute prohibition against taking the life of the innocent than an unborn child within the womb of his mother?

What exactly is a politician such as Governor Cuomo claiming when he states that he is personally against abortion but that, as a politician, he must respect the right of a woman to murder her unborn baby? He is basing this alleged right on the fact that it has been “granted” by the law of the United States, just as it has been granted by the governments of almost every country in the Western World. In other words —– and I am sure that Governor Cuomo would not dispute this —– he believes that a right is acquired when it is accorded by the majority of citizens within a state. In believing this, he has accepted, in place of the Social Kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and His right to rule over societies as well as individuals, the abominable theory of democracy enshrined in the French Revolution’s Declaration of the Rights of Man, the declaration which constituted a formal and insolent repudiation of the Social Kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the declaration which enshrined the greatest heresy of modern times, perhaps of all times: that authority resides in the people. On the contrary, as the Popes have taught, Omnis potestas a Deo —–”All authority comes from God.”

“Not so!” reply the revolutionaries. Omnis potestas a populo —–”All authority comes from the people.”

How well the term “revolutionaries” applies to these men! A revolution is best defined as the forcible overthrow of an established government, and this is precisely what they did. They overthrew the Social Kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ in favor of what is rightly termed the heresy that authority resides in the will of the majority —– the heresy that is the source of all the evils in society today.

THE RISE OF A HERESY:
AUTHORITY COMES FROM THE PEOPLE

It would be a mistake to imagine that the dethronement of Our Lord began at the end of the 18th Century with the promulgation by the French Revolutionaries of the so-called “Rights of Man.”

The process began four centuries earlier, in 14th-century Italy, during what has become known as the “Renaissance.” The word is French and means “rebirth.” It refers to the rebirth of classical studies which began in Italy in the 14th Century. Those engaged in these studies were known as “humanists” because their studies were concerned with purely human topics, whereas in Europe, until that time, God had been the focus for almost every aspect of scholarship and art. Music, architecture, literature, painting, drama, philosophy, cosmology and, above all, theology —– the Queen of the Sciences —– were centered upon the Creator, and the Creator-creature relationship was axiomatic to every aspect of human thought.

Initially, there was no conflict between Humanism and the Church. Many humanists were also ecclesiastics. But as time passed, it became clear that the movement was tending to relegate religion to a place where it had little or no influence on human thought or human behavior; This tendency was implicit rather than explicit. It gave rise to the attitude that whereas faith is valid in its own domain, reason should be concerned only with what is scientifically demonstrable. The Creator-creature relationship was not formally denied, but attention became focused almost exclusively on man, to the neglect of God, who was, effectively, confined to the sacristy. Man was seen as an autonomous being, the focus of truth in a world of which he was master and which he had the ability to subdue and perfect, a being capable of building an earthly paradise by his own efforts, a utopia. The extent to which these ideas were reflected in the principles of the French Revolution, and later in atheistic Communism, hardly needs pointing out.

The practical result of Humanism was the divinization of man. The more God was diminished, the more man exalted himself and became his own God. In his book Christian Humanism Professor Thomas Molnar provides us with the following definition:

“Humanism was a doctrine, or network of doctrines, putting man in place of God, and endowing him with features that he was inevitably to abuse.” [1]

I have mentioned the extent to which the principles of Humanism reached their logical conclusion in the French Revolution and in Communism, but the Protestant Reformation cannot be exempted from this charge. Our Lord Jesus Christ founded a visible Church, His Mystical Body, to continue His mission in the world until He comes again in glory. This Church was endowed with a visible head, the Bishop of Rome, the Vicar of Jesus Christ. A vicar is a person who is authorized to perform a function on behalf of another, as his officially designated deputy.

The Bishop of Rome has the authority to teach infallibly the true meaning of the Scriptures as intended by their Divine Author. The Protestant Reformers repudiated the authority of the Vicar of Christ, and hence the authority of Christ Himself. They claimed to accept the authority of the Scriptures, but the inevitable logic of Protestantism is that they accept the authority of Scripture as each individual Protestant interprets it. In other words, every Protestant makes his own reason his ultimate authority in religious matters. It has often been said that, in the final analysis, every Protestant is his own pope. We can go further still and state that in the final analysis Protestantism makes each Protestant into his own god. This is Humanism with a vengeance.

Catholics did not, of course, remain free from these influences, and in 1907, in the fifth year of his pontificate, Pope St. Pius X felt obliged to promulgate his encyclical letter Pascendi Dominici Gregis, condemning the errors of that Protestantized version of Catholicism known as Modernism, the ultimate logic of which, explained the Pope, was atheism. The most deplorable example of man’s self-deification in our day is man’s arrogation to himself of God’s supreme and most fundamental authority, that is, His authority over life and death.

“I,” says contemporary man, “shall decide for myself when a new human life shall begin and, once it has begun, whether it shall continue or be terminated. I shall use contraception to ensure that no new life is conceived without my consent, and, should a conception take place that I deem inconvenient, I shall terminate it by abortion.” The next step in this diabolical process will be the legalization of euthanasia.

Although I have said that it would be a mistake to imagine that the dethronement of Christ the King was inaugurated by the promulgation of the French Revolution’s Declaration of the Rights of Man, there can be no doubt that this Declaration constituted the first formal repudiation of Our Lord’s Social Kingship, and that it was the most influential act in the process of securing His virtually universal dethronement during the next two centuries.

Before examining the extent to which this Declaration constituted a repudiation of Catholic teaching on the authority of the State, it is necessary to have a clear grasp of the content of this teaching. The doctrine of the Popes on the authority of the State is clear and self-evident to those with a proper understanding of the Creator-creature relationship, which is fundamental to a well-ordered society.

THE CHURCH AND DEMOCRACY

A state is composed of two elements: the government, or those who govern, and the governed, authority being vested in those who govern. The Church is not committed to any particular form of government, and despite the tendency of Popes to refer to “princes” in their encyclicals, they were in no way opposed to democracy, if all that is meant by this term is that those who govern are chosen by a vote [based on either limited or universal suffrage]. What the Popes maintain, logically and uncompromisingly, is that the source of authority is precisely the same in an absolute monarchy, such as that of Louis XIV in 18th-century France, as in a country where the government is chosen in a democratic election in which every citizen has the right to vote, such as the United States today. In either situation papal teaching on the source of authority is clear and has already been stated: Omnis potestas a Deo. —– “All authority comes from God.” Pope Leo XIII explained in his encyclical Immortale Dei that:

Every civilized community must have a ruling authority, and this authority, no less than society itself, has its source in nature, and has, consequently, God for its author. Hence it follows that all public power must proceed from God. FOR GOD ALONE IS THE TRUE AND SUPREME LORD OF THE WORLD. Everything without exception must be subject to Him, and must serve Him, so that whosoever holds the right to govern, holds it from one sole and single source, namely, God, the Sovereign Ruler of all. “There is no power but from God.” [Rom. 13:1].

“There is no power but from God.” This quotation from Romans 13: 1 states all that needs to be stated concerning the source of authority. Because those who govern derive their authority from God, and govern as His legates, and not as holding their authority from the people, no government can have a true right to enact any legislation contrary to the law of God, even if such legislation is the manifest wish of the majority of the people. The Church is totally opposed to any concept of democracy in which authority is said to reside in the people and in which those who govern are said to receive their authority from the people. Pope Leo XIII insisted in lmmortale Dei that:

In a society grounded upon such maxims, all government is nothing more nor less than the will of the people; and the people, being under the power of itself alone, is alone its own ruler . . .The authority of God is passed over in silence, just as if there were no God; or as if He cared nothing for human society; or as if men, in their individual capacity or bound together in social relations, owed nothing to God; or as if there could be a government of which the whole origin and power and authority did not reside in God Himself: Thus, as is evident, a state becomes nothing but a multitude, which is its own master and ruler.

Part Three

THE DECLARATION OF THE RIGHTS OF MAN

Few English-speaking Catholics are familiar with the French Revolution’s Declaration of the Rights of Man or with its background. The Rights of Man were discussed by the French National Assembly during the meetings of August, 1789 and adopted in October of the same year. Some of the articles are not simply acceptable but actually commendable, e.g., Article 7, concerning the detention of citizens; Article 8, stating that laws cannot have a retroactive effect; and Article 9, concerning those who have been arrested but whose guilt has not been proven. Other articles are ambiguous. But some others are positively incompatible with Catholicism, particularly Article 6, which begins by stating that the law is the expression of the general will. This is a complete negation of the teaching of the Church that all authority comes from God. Pope Pius VI had no hesitation in condemning the Declaration as “contrary to religion and to society.” [2] Acceptance of the Declaration of the Rights of Man rules out the possibility of a Catholic state and the social reign of Christ the King. This is hardly surprising in view of the Masonic origin of the Declaration. Father Denis Fahey wrote:

That the preparation and the triumph of the French Revolution were the work of Freemasonry does not need proof since the Masons themselves boast of it. Accordingly, The Declaration of the Rights of Man is a Masonic production. [3]

Father Fahey quoted in support of this contention a statement by Monsieur Bonnet, the orator at the Grand Orient Assembly in 1904:

Freemasonry had the supreme honor of giving to humanity the chart which it had lovingly elaborated. It was our Brother, de la Fayette, who first presented the project of a declaration of the natural rights of the man and the citizen living in society, to be the first chapter of the Constitution. On 25 August 1789 the Constituent Assembly, of which more than 300 members were Masons, definitively adopted, almost word for word, in the form determined upon in the Lodges, the text of the immortal Declaration of the Rights of Man. [4]

Father Fahey summarized the Declaration as a formal renunciation of allegiance to Christ the King, of the supernatural life, and of membership in Christ’s Mystical Body. He continued:

The French State thereby officially declared that it no longer acknowledged any duty to God through Our Lord Jesus Christ, and no longer recognized the dignity of membership of Christ in its citizens. It thus inaugurated the attack on the organization of society under Christ the King which has continued down to the present day. [5]

The principle that all authority comes from the peopIe is now all but universally accepted throughout the West. The basis of public morality is whatever the contemporary consensus of citizens is prepared to accept. It would be very hard to convince the average Catholic today that his country should not be governed by the will of the people or that our elected representatives are anything more than delegates of the people who voted them into power.

WHAT IS A “RIGHT”?

In his encyclical letter Tametsi futura, published in 1900, Pope Leo XIII commented: “The people have heard quite enough about what are called the rights of man. Let them hear about the rights of God for once.”

This is precisely what we shall do now. Strictly speaking, God alone has rights which belong to Him of His very nature. As human beings we possess only contingent rights, rights which are accorded to us by God. We have a right to do only what is pleasing to God. This is synonymous with stating that we are free to do only what is pleasing to God, and the freedom referred to here is moral freedom, or moral liberty.

Whenever the term “right” is used in this study, it must be taken to mean “moral freedom.” To state that a man has a right to perform an action means that he is morally free to do so, and he can never be morally free to perform any act that is displeasing to God.

The fundamental meaning of the word “liberty” is the ability to act without constraint. There can be three forms of constraint: physical, psychological, and moral.

Freedom from physical restraint simply means the absence of any external constraint which could pre- vent a person from carrying out a desired action. A football player who wished to take part in an important match, but who had broken his leg and was in hospital at the time of the game, would not be physically free, or able, to participate in the event.

Psychological liberty is better known as free will and involves the capacity to make moral choices. It is thus restricted to angels and to men. Beings who possess free will, or psychological liberty, are the masters of their acts, and hence are responsible for them. Animals have physical but not psychological freedom. A pair of blackbirds necessarily selects the tree in which they will build their nest on the basis of which tree seems most useful; they cannot choose to sacrifice the better tree and select a poorer one. Nor do they possess the free will enabling them to decide whether or not to build a nest and raise a family, or even what type of nest to build.

It should be clear that being physically able to perform an action, and being psychologically able to choose whether to perform it, do not mean that one has a right to perform it. There may be a moral constraint against performing the action. Two simple examples should make this clear. A bank clerk might find himself in a position to defraud his employers of a large sum of money with very little likelihood of being detected. He would be physically free to perform the action, that is, he would be able to remove the money without being detected. He would be psychologically free to perform it, that is, he would be able to use, or rather misuse, his free will to commit the theft. But he would not be morally free to steal the money, since theft is forbidden by the Commandments of God. In this case the law of God and the law of the State concur, and just as there is no moral right to steal, there is also no legal right to steal.

But a legal right does not necessarily confer a moral right, as the following example will demonstrate. A woman may be physically, psychologically, and legally free to have an abortion, but the so-called legal right to murder her baby does not confer a true right, since murder is forbidden by the Commandments of God.

CIVIL LAW AND THE ETERNAL LAW

In his essay The Church and the Modem State, published in 1931 and referring specifically to the United States, Hilaire Belloc noted that laws declared invalid by the Catholic Church are not binding. He continued: “Where there is a conflict between the civil law and the moral law of the Catholic Church, members of the Catholic Church will resist the civil law and obey the law of the Church.” [6]

At the risk of being repetitious, I will state once more that the teaching of the Church is that the terms “right” and “moral liberty” are synonymous. We can speak of a “right” only when its object is morally licit. The Popes, Pope Leo XIII in particular, taught time and time again that there can only be a true right —– that is, the moral liberty —– to choose that which is good and true. No human being can ever have a right to choose what is evil or false.

To quote Pope Leo XIII, writing in Libertas:

The true liberty of human society does not consist in every man doing what he pleases, for this would simply end in turmoil and confusion, and bring on the overthrow of the State: but rather in this, that through the injunctions of the civil law all may more easily conform to the prescriptions of the ETERNAL LAW.

The teaching of Pope Leo XIII is, then, that the purpose of civil law in any state, Catholic or non-Catholic, should be to assist its citizens to conform to the prescriptions of the eternal law. However, today the laws of Great Britain and the U nited States are designed —– I repeat, designed —– to have precisely the opposite effect. The laws of both countries incite each and every citizen to imitate Lucifer and to say: Non serviam —–”I will not serve.”

The average citizen, and this is not hard to under stand, equates what is legally permissible with what is morally permissible. Let us take divorce as an example. In Great Britain the figure for divorce is around 30% and rising, and the reason that it is not rising far faster is due to the fact that such a high proportion of couples now live together without even the formality of a civil ceremony. In the U.S.A., I understand that the divorce rate is now in the region of 50% . If the law did not sanction divorce and remarriage, the number of those who would abandon their spouses to live in new unions that would be legally as well as morally illicit would be reduced to a very small fraction of this figure.

The same can be said in the matter of abortions. If abortion had not been made legal, millions of women who have had abortions would not have done so, and, as is almost invariably the case, would have loved and cherished the babies they have murdered.

Pope Leo XIII insisted in Libertas that:

The binding force of human laws is in this, that they are to be regarded as applications of the eternal law, as in the principle of all law . . . WHERE A LAW IS ENACTED CONTRARY TO REASON, OR TO THE ETERNAL LAW; OR TO SOME ORDINANCE OF GOD, OBEDIENCE IS UNLAWFUL, LEST WHILE OBEYING MAN WE BECOME DISOBEDIENT TO GOD.

Can these words not be considered a charter for the Rescue Movement? We are forbidden to obey any law that is contrary to the eternal law of God, lest while obeying man, we become disobedient to God.

This unequivocal papal teaching certainly has grave implications for any Catholic involved in the enforcement of the law. By what right can a Catholic policeman arrest those who try to rescue the unborn from abortion? By what right can a Catholic district attorney prosecute them? By what right can a Catholic judge convict them? Let such public officials not protest that they have sworn to uphold the law, because any human law contrary to the eternal law cannot be considered valid by any Catholic. But, alas, many, perhaps most, Catholics holding public office today are certainly not worthy of the glorious title of Catholic.

I quoted Hilaire Belloc earlier as stating that when there is a conflict between civil law and the moral law of the Catholic Church, members of the Catholic Church will resist the civil law and obey the law of the Church. Belloc was somewhat naive in believing this since, alas, now that precisely such a conflict has arisen in the United States with the emergence of the Rescue Movement, the overwhelming majority of Catholics involved in enforcing an immoral civil law have preferred to uphold that law rather than endanger their livelihood.

Part Four

REACTION TO QUAS PRIMAS

When Pope Pius XI promulgated Quas Primas in 1925, Christ the King had, to all intents and purposes, been dethroned throughout what was once referred to as Christendom. In October, 1941, in an article in The Dublin Review, Christopher Dawson described Europe as a secularized Christendom, its character having been largely destroyed by 200 years of secularization. “The resultant culture,” he wrote, “the culture of the Liberal 19th century and of western democracy, may be described as post-Christian, i.e., it was built on Christian foundations and Christian values, but it was divorced from an organic union with Christian faith and practice.”

When he wrote Quas Primas, Pope Pius XI had no illusions concerning the state of what had once been Christendom. He anticipated Christopher Dawson’s analysis in the opening paragraph of the encyclical, noting that the manifold evils of the world are due to the exclusion of Jesus Christ and His holy law from the private lives of individuals and from the political life of almost every state.

It was the insistence of the Pope upon the social reign of Christ the King —– on the fact that states, as well as individuals, must submit themselves to His rule —– which caused such embarrassment to the bishops of the world [and nowhere more so than in the United States], which has resulted, as Hamish Fraser expressed it, in Quas Primas becoming the greatest non-event in the history of the Church.

LIBERTY OF CONSCIENCE?

We are all familiar with the saying that “Everyone has the right to his own opinion,”. It is not unusual to hear a Catholic state that while he disagrees with the beliefs of a member of another religion, he would give his life to defend that person’s right to hold these beliefs. I would be surprised if most Catholics today did not agree with these sentiments, but they are both untrue and reflect the classic Liberal position on liberty of conscience, which has been condemned frequently and forcefully by the Popes.

Pope Leo XIll warned in Libertas that there are certain so-called liberties which modern society takes for granted that every man possesses as a right. These are the liberties, the Pope explained, “which the followers of Liberalism so eagerly advocate and proclaim.”

WHAT IS LIBERALISM?

The essence of Liberalism is the view that the individual human being has the right to decide for himself the norms by which he will regulate his life; that he has the right to be his own arbiter as to what is right and what is wrong; and that he is under no obligation to submit himself to any external authority. In the Liberal sense, “liberty of conscience” is the right of an individual to think and believe whatsoever he wants, even in religion and morality. He has the right to choose any religion, or to have no religion; and he has the right to express his views publicly and to persuade others to adopt them, using word of mouth, the public press, or any other means.

A dramatic and depressing instance of this Liberal thesis being translated into practice is the campaign for so-called “Gay Rights” in the United States and in Great Britain. Here with a vengeance are so-called “liberties,” which modern society takes for granted that every man possesses as a right. In the United States you are witnessing the scarcely credible spectacle of Catholic bishops taking it for granted that homosexuals have a right to indulge in and to propagandize in favor of their unnatural vice, and even, in some cases, helping them actively in their campaign. In Connecticut in 1991 a so-called “Gay Rights Bill” was passed, primarily due to the support of the Catholic Bishops in that state. The bill even allows homosexuals to adopt or to become foster parents of young children. Dom Prosper Gueranger wrote, at a time when such an act on the part of Catholic bishops would have been unthinkable, that when the shepherd becomes a wolf, the flock has a right to defend itself. There cannot be the least doubt that the faithful in Connecticut need to defend themselves against wolves masquerading under the guise of Catholic bishops.

Part Five

IF CHRIST IS DETHRONED, WE BECOME INHUMAN

Dozens of books have been written examining the contemporary crisis within the Church from an orthodox Catholic standpoint. Among the two or three that should definitely be owned by every Catholic who loves his faith is The Devastated Vineyard by Dietrich von Hildebrand. In this book the author lamented the terrible decline of humanity, which is nearing the point of actual dehumanization. He stated that it is the superhuman task of the holy Church to save humanity, or at least her own children, from this downfall. I was interested to note that this great book was written in 1973, and that since that date 25 million unborn children have become the victims of legalized murder in the United States alone, and this slaughter is continuing at the rate of 4,300 a day. Was not Professor von Hildebrand right to refer to what he termed “this apocalyptic decline of humanity,” which is nearing the point of actual dehumanization? [7] What other word but “dehumanized” will do for a society which extends its protection to sexual perverts and withdraws it from unborn children so that they can be massacred by the million? Christ the King has indeed been dethroned, and the evil fruits of Liberalism can be seen everywhere around us.

Professor von Hildebrand warned that the Church can only help mankind to draw back from the precipice upon which it is poised “if the vineyard of the Lord blossoms anew. And therefore we must storm Heaven with the prayer that the spirit of St. Pius X might once again fill the hierarchy, that the great words anathema sit might once again ring out against all heretics, and especially against all the members of the ‘fifth column’ within the Church.” [8] We could do no better than begin by praying that they will ring out in Connecticut.
