Thank you so much for helping and may our Lord bless you always

“Thank you to all for the outpouring of money and effort on behalf of Father Joe’s parish. Recently we have been blessed to have been introduced to a contractor who has done charitable work in Kenya for similar communities. By God’s grace fresh water may soon be a reality at a fraction of our original budget. We are presently linking this fund to an account for transfer to Father Joe and there is a temporary hold on contributions for a few days. It will be open again very soon. Thank you for your continued generosity and prayers.”

Praise, glory and honor to God for prayers answered!

I was thirsty and you gave me drink”

Fr. Joseph Mungai was visiting the USA for a short time and is in need for his mission in Africa. His parishioners are in need of a well. They do not have clean drinking water and help is needed. Women must travel a 5k distance to a water source and often times are attacked on the way. Sometimes forced into paying for the water with their bodies. Water for sex has become common practice through the region as  obtaining clean drinking water is very hard to come by and unscrupulous vendors are not in short supply.

I have a very serious request for my readers. If you are able to donate to help build a well, for family’s in Africa, please help our cause. EDIT TO ADD:

There are no coincidences. This is a painting that has hung on my wall for close to 7 years. “The Woman At The Well”. Please help us to build the well for clean drinking water in this mission so the women are not raped and forced into providing sex in return for clean water. I am a rape survivor. It was our Lord who taught me how to survive it, lead me through it and forgive the person who had done this. It is paramount for me to ensure no other woman be forced to endure this selfish act. For the price it would cost you to have your car detailed or your dog groomed, you can save a life and provide clean drinking water for many souls in need. Please consider donating or at least pray, for souls to come forward to build this well. Share this with someone who may be able to afford to donate.

“Lent is a time for reconsidering our feelings, for letting our eyes be opened to injustice, to open our hearts to those suffering.” – Pope Francis

According to the CDC, over 1 billion people are currently forced to use water from hazardous resources for cooking, bathing and consumption. Approximately half of this vulnerable population are children.

Refugees And Mercy

grapes-on-the-vine

Our Lord appointed 12 Apostles. His mission didn’t change because of one betrayer. Our mission is His mission. His mission is Love.

In a few weeks, we Catholics will be experiencing the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy. If our Lord is giving us this time of Mercy,time to turn back to Him, how then can we not extend that mercy we will been given, to others in need?

I find myself pondering James 2:13 “For the judgment is merciless to one who has not shown mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.”

We are not called to live in fear of anyone or anything but are called to live only in the fear of our Lord.

Terrorism is never to be feared, but rather needs to be reminded, in our hearts, of the terror it can face, in the presence of the Face of God. Our Lords own words to Judas need to come to mind, that being “Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”.

Knowing that the Mission of Love is eternal and ongoing, we can never lose sight to love one another and pray for those who persecute us,  as the mission of hate has no mission, but only self gratification and that self gratification dies and like dust, is blown away by the wind.

Peace and continual praying for the conversion of hearts, as our Lord is converting my heart to love and serve Him in all created in His image.

Holy Year Of Mercy

figure1

St. John Paul II pushes open the Holy Door on Dec. 24, 1999.

Glory to God!
Everything you find in this blog, praise and glory be to God.. It is the mercy of God. It is His mercy that brought me back home and I pray the entire world takes advantage of the coming Holy Year of Mercy.

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.”

Repent and believe. St. John Paul II, pray for us. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in you. Have mercy on us all.

VATICAN CITY — Saturday evening, in front of the Holy Door in the atrium of St. Peter’s Basilica, Pope Francis’ will give the archpriests of the major basilicas of Rome copies of his “bull of indiction,” or formal proclamation, of the Holy Year of Mercy. An aide will read portions of it at the door before participants process into St. Peter’s for evening prayer.

Psalm 30
1 A psalm. A song for the dedication of the Temple Of David

I
2 I praise you, LORD, for you raised me up
and did not let my enemies rejoice over me.
3 O LORD, my God,
I cried out to you for help and you healed me.
4 LORD, you brought my soul up from Sheol;
you let me live, from going down to the pit.

II
5 Sing praise to the LORD, you faithful;
give thanks to his holy memory.
6 For his anger lasts but a moment;
his favor a lifetime.
At dusk weeping comes for the night;
but at dawn there is rejoicing.

III
7 Complacent, I once said,
“I shall never be shaken.”
8 LORD, you showed me favor,
established for me mountains of virtue.
But when you hid your face
I was struck with terror.
9 To you, LORD, I cried out;
with the Lord I pleaded for mercy:
10 “What gain is there from my lifeblood,
from my going down to the grave?
Does dust give you thanks
or declare your faithfulness?
11 Hear, O LORD, have mercy on me;
LORD, be my helper.”

IV
12 You changed my mourning into dancing;
you took off my sackcloth
and clothed me with gladness.
13 So that my glory may praise you
and not be silent.
O LORD, my God,
forever will I give you thanks.

Help Needed! Young Man Wants To Join The Abbey

60c01aaf-4c92-46aa-98cc-18c537c752ea_profile

I was contacted by Richard and asked to share this. What better way then on this blog. Glory to God! Lets do this! Please if you can help, even by sharing this, any little amount of Charity would help! Especially your prayers & sharing his story. We NEED Priests! Please help. God bless you.

Father, we’re your people, the work of your hands.
So precious are we in your sight that you sent your Son, Jesus.
Jesus calls us to heal the broken-hearted,
to dry the tears of those who mourn, to give hope to those who despair,
and to rejoice in your steadfast love.
We, the baptized, realize our call to serve.
Help us to know how.
Call forth from among us priests, sisters, brothers and lay ministers.
With our hearts you continue to love your people.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen

Pax Christi! My name is Richard Sullivan. I am 25 years old, and I have accepted God’s call to the postulancy at the Norbertine Order of St. Michael’s Abbey in Orange County, California. Please help me pay off $19,000 of student loans by May 13th, the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima.

By the time I was thirteen, I felt a call to God’s service in the Catholic priesthood. About two years ago, I felt this calling in my heart, stronger than ever. This path has been a beautiful one, full of God’s goodness and Love.

The Norbertines are an order based on community and sacrifice. They were founded by St. Norbert of Xanten, and follow the Rule of St. Augustine. “Priests from St. Michael’s Abbey give spiritual direction and retreats to many different religious communities in California, and internationally” (from website).

Daily life consists of praying the Divine Office, Mass, Rosary, and Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction. There is also a Prepatory High School on site where the members teach and serve. Please visit their website to learn more: http://www.stmichaelsabbey.com. If this goal is met, I will join the postulancy program on August 27th, the Feast of St. Monica.

It is no secret that college debt has been a hindrance to vocations. Despite working full time and supporting myself, the amount far exceeds what I can pay off in order to enter the Abbey. This is why I humbly ask you for help. Please support my answer to God’s call by donating $50-$250? However, any and all amounts are greatly appreciated. I have no doubts that God will see this goal met, as nothing is impossible for Him, and He can not be outdone in generosity. Be assured of my prayers and sincere gratitude. May God bless and keep you, and Our Lady keep you tucked safely under her mantle.
