Ordinary Extraordinary

King

I love the TLM as much as I love the Ordinary. We forget that it is our Lord who makes the Ordinary, Extraordinary.

Be Holy – “Gaudete et Exsultate”

St-Francis-Of-Assisi-Quotes-And-Sayings-5

This coming Monday, April 9, the Holy See Press Office will release Pope Francis’s  “Gaudete et Exsultate” (Rejoice and be glad) which is his Apostolic Exhortation on holiness, at noon. News came today HERE, via the Holy See.

I ask those who subscribe to my blog to read Gaudete et Exsultate themselves in detail. Ponder it. Pray before, during and after reading it. Do not be conformed to reading it from anyplace other than the original source. Do not feel comfortable reading it from anyone’s point of view, other than your own. Meaning, don’t allow the media to tell you what they think it says and means. Read it from where you are in life. If you are disturbed internally by reading it, ask our Lord in prayer, why. Seek a remedy that is in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Ask how you can grow to not be disturbed and accept the things you need to change within. Knock on our Lords door through prayer without ceasing, but we must repent. The word repent is a verb, which describes action needed on our part. ““Do whatever he tells you.”, becomes very clear.

The birth pains of holiness within a soul begin with the interior desire for Truth. ” “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”. Matt 7:7

Repent and believe in the gospel.

Leave The Tomb

Empty Tomb

Today, the tomb is empty. Do not stay within it, nor with what remains in the cold and darkness. Do not linger in the dust of mortal sin and misery.  Leave the tomb of emptiness and live life in Christ our Lord and Redeemer, “behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” Rise above from what is below. Be converted. Be holy.

He is not hereHe has risen, just as He said!

O Sacred Head Surrounded

I am reduced to nothing, the moment this hymn begins. My throat closes. There is a tightness in my chest and the words can not pass my lips. I can never, as hard as I try, sing this hymn, as the tears well up and stream down my cheeks. I can only assume, for now, its the interior contemplation breaking out in a way I could never put into words.

This hymn is just a short part of Salve Mundi Salutare, a poem in honor of our Lords various members on the cross. I have shared this poem in previous posts, divided into seven cantos,  “Ad Pedes”, “Ad Genua”, “Ad Manus”, “Ad Latus”, “Ad Pectus”, “Ad Cor”, “Ad Faciem” (To the Feet, Knees, Hands, Side, Breast, Heart, Face).

Please see the post below, To The Feet, and if you would like to continue, just click the next post.

Salve Mundi Salutare: Ad Pedes

veroncloth+copy

Eternal Father, turn away Your angry gaze from our guilty people whose face has become unsightly in Your eyes. Look instead upon the Face of Your beloved Son, in Whom You are well pleased. We now offer You this Holy Face, covered with shame and disfigured by bloody bruises, in reparation for the crimes of our age, in order to appease Your anger, justly provoked against us. Because Your Divine Son, our Redeemer, has taken upon His Head all the sins of His members, that they might be spared, we now beg You, Eternal Father, to grant us mercy. Amen.

Crucified

CiDNcZ1VAAALbht

While everyone stands, sits, kneels, shouts, boycotts, fights with this man or that, or this group or that one….

We must never forget what we have been called to be first…

“For through the law I died to the law, that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ; yet I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me; insofar as I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me and given himself up for me.”

Peace

Thanks Mom 2017

Mama

My husband & I had been working all day on our gardening. Its been about four years since I have been able to do any weeding or serious physical working, as my back and neck issues had been declining. Today and yesterday, our Lord allowed me the grace to get out and do some serious physical work. It was wonderful!

We had lost everything in the drought. There wasn’t much left growing in front of our home. Even our palm trees died. You can imagine the mess. So, we decided to just level everything and start over, planting nothing but succulents with a wonderful rock garden, a sand base and maybe a dry river bed. Something easy for us to take care of and didn’t need a lot of water nor upkeep.

We cut back a wall of dead ice plant that had overgrown the retaining wall which leads up to the back yard. Clearing out almost everything that should have been done a long time ago. As we ended tonight, and entered our home and we had a beautiful sense of accomplishment. We were able to get something done together that had been bothering both of us, for a long time. Working together to get it done. Mind you, it was only the cleaning out of four years of overgrown deep weeds and dead trees and plants. We haven’t started the new decorating yet, but we did it together to build something new.

I walked out on the balcony to take some pictures and I posted them to my social media page. As I looked at the pictures, I seen something I hadn’t before. That retaining wall. The one that was unseen for many years, covered in overgrown dead ice plant. I realized quickly where my Mama Mary Garden would now be. The retaining wall looked just like a snake with its head cut off.  It will soon have a statue of our Holy Mother,  above the water fall in the corner of it. Mothers Day is just around the corner.

May is the month of Mary. May she be crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth, in all hearts.

Good Friday 2017

crucifixion-top-view

“See, my servant shall prosper, he shall be raised high and greatly exalted…

Though harshly treated, he submitted and did not open his mouth; Like a lamb led to slaughter or a sheep silent before shearers, he did not open his mouth…

But it was the Lord’s will to crush him with pain. By making his life as a reparation offering, he shall see his offspring, shall lengthen his days, and the Lord’s will shall be accomplished through him,”

(Isaiah 52:13, 53:7,10)

Silence…

Nothing more to say..

It is finished.
