Independence Day From Sinfulness

11695340_10207457036292125_947304448569329523_n

Saturday July 4th, I will be dedicating to our Holy Mother Mary and first Saturday. I ask you to join me as we celebrate her, our Catholic Faith and TRUE Independence from our sinfulness. I have my flag out already. I will be bringing my children to Holy Mass after we all receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Just an idea I feel needs to be shared.

“In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph.” – Our Lady of Fatima

FREEDOM!

All praise, honor and glory to our Lord, Jesus Christ.

EDIT to add:

Its not a call to abandon hope, nor to hide inside this day, but to celebrate LIFE in Christ. To still enjoy our Lords creation. TO STILL live the life our Lord has given to us and to appreciate Holiness in the Light. Its not that we are NOT still sinners, but rather we know we are and we are TRYING with the grace of God to get back home to our Lord, in TRUE Love. Agape!

“Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!
Amen!”

EDIT:

The original photo has been changed at the top of this post. WITHOUT KNOWING, I was flying my Vatican Flag upside down for many many WEEKS. I didn’t know it. Today, I fixed it. Keep in mind ANY flag flown upside down is a sign of “distress” and NOT disrespect. Pray for this nation and the ENTIRE Church.

Very Harsh Years

work

I just returned from assessing my garden. Over the years I have had an abundance of fruit from my trees. At various times of the year, it has come in handy to place in my children’s lunches and when money had been very tight for eating wonderful snacks through a week of not spending a dime because, I had not one to spend. We were comforted by God with the fruit that was so needed through harsh times. All provided by, grown by and nurtured by, our Lord.

This season, it’s very different. My fig tree is bursting with figs. More this year then any other. Right now they are ripe for picking. But my orange tree that is usually bending over, bending branches full of oranges, has only one this year. Not one tangerine. Not one pomegranate. Not one single lime and after five years, not a single bunch of grapes on the vine. It is a very harsh year for fruit in my garden.

With that being said, our Lord truly provides and I thank Him not only for this harsh year, but for all of them. They are a blessing used to pull us closer to Him and to make us aware that He provides for all our needs. In more ways than we can ever imagine.

What is very different this year, for the first time in over eight years, I was offered a job, and have decided to take it. It will end my active duty within the Legion of Mary but being that it is only a part-time job, I can continue to attend Holy Mass daily, drop my children off at school and still be able to pick them up when they get out. Still allowing me to be a full-time practicing Catholic. The pay offered, was much higher than I had expected and the company itself, is for a very well-known Church Supply company. Only our Lord can arrange this life He has given to me in such a wonderful way. In all this company supply’s, I can see daily, and still be around the very beauty of the faith. I look at the supply’s of this company as the “seeds” needed to be planted in order that the harvest of souls can be fed in a way that gives glory to our Lord. Much of my life has been spent in disbelief, in one way or another. Be it my own idea of who God is, or in the twisted way of thinking I had not been good enough to please Him, to live the faith, or to trust in Him. Our Lord has proved me wrong time and time again, manifesting Himself so greatly in my life over the past fifteen years, leavening no room for doubt, He truly loves me and His mercy endures forever. I have sought Him in all and have found Him in all.

I start this new job on September third, the feast day of St. Gregory the Great.

“Dearly beloved, what do you see in these events? Do you really believe that it was by chance that this chosen disciple was absent, then came and heard, heard and doubted, doubted and touched, touched and believed? It was not by chance but in God’s providence. In a marvelous way God’s mercy arranged that the disbelieving disciple, in touching the wounds of his master’s body, should heal our wounds of disbelief. The disbelief of Thomas has done more for our faith than the faith of the other disciples. As he touches Christ and is won over to belief, every doubt is cast aside and our faith is strengthened. So the disciple who doubted, then felt Christ’s wounds, becomes a witness to the reality of the resurrection.” (Pope St. Gregory the Great, Doctor of the Church)

I have spent many years away from “home”, working for others, in love, through love and charity. There is no doubt our Lord is telling me it is time to work for those closest to me. The closer you become to Christ, the more painful it becomes. All the doors He held open for you, need closing, so only one remains. That door leads to the Chamber of our Lord. I submit to His will.

May the Legion of Mary, Mystical Rose be more prosperous, with my departure. Mama Mary has shown me so much and taught me what sacrifice is, mercy is, and patience. Not only teaching me what they truly were, but how to put them into use. My departure is only physical. My heart and soul will continue to carry the Legion and her message, in all that I encounter and apply it all again, in love.

If any one of you should be asked if he loved God, he would answer with entire confidence and complete conviction, ‘I do.’ But you heard at the beginning of the reading what Truth said: ‘If anyone loves me, he will keep my word.’ The proof of love is its manifestation in deeds (1 Jn 4:16). This is why John says in his Letter: ‘He who says, ‘I love God,’ and does not observe his commandments is a liar’ (1 Jn 2:4). Our love is true if we keep our self-will in check according to his commandments. One who is still wandering here and there through his unlawful desires does not really love God, because he is opposing him in his self-will.

‘And my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.’ Consider, dearly beloved, how great this solemnity is that commemorates the coming of God as a guest in our hearts. If some rich and powerful friend were to enter your home, you would quickly clean the entire house for fear something there might offend your friend’s eyes when he entered. Let any one then who is preparing his inner house for God cleanse away the dirt of his evil deeds.

You see what Truth tells us: ‘We will come and make our home with him.’ He does indeed enter the hearts of some but does not make his home there, because through repentance they acquire respect for God, but during a time of temptation they forget that they have repented and so return to committing sins as if they had never wept over them at all. The Lord comes into the heart and makes his home in one who truly loves God and observes his commandments, since the love of his divine nature so penetrates him that he does not turn away from it during times of temptation. That person loves truly whose heart does not consent to be overcome by wicked pleasures. The more pleasure a person finds in lower things the greater is his separation from heavenly love.

‘One who does not love me does not keep my words.’ Dearly beloved, enter into yourselves and inquire if you truly love God. But let not one believe the answer his heart gives in his own case apart from the testimony of his works. Let him examine his words, his thoughts and his life concerning the love of his Creator. God’s love is never idle. Where it exists, it does great things; if it refuses to work, it is not love. – an excerpt from the book Gregory the Great: Forty Gospel Homilies

Money in my life has always been a distraction away from all that God has provided for us. I have never had an attachment to it, but rather see it for what it is. Knowing this more deeply now before taking on my new job, truly is a blessing in more ways then I could ever imagine. God provides for all our needs. Including filling us with understanding on how to use money and how not to let it use us.

Thank you Lord for all you have done to me, in me, for us and all who love you.

Kiss At Midnight

imagesCAM4LQFR

I was blessed with spending one hour in adoration with our Lord last night. After thanking Him for the blessings of 2012 and for the coming year, I prayed for the soul of Frank Duff and began The Legion of Mary Tessera and Divine Mercy. Just after praying for Frank Duff, a knock came on the door. I don’t normally get up to see who i is, but this time was different. I opened the exterior door and a young man was there. He thanked me for opening the door and told me he was from out-of-town and just wanted to spend some time with our Lord. I smiled and said “Come on in” and lead him to Adoration. It was funny really. The man was young and had a bright red-head of hair and very pale skin. You could see the Irish everywhere. After showing him the way, I began praying Tessera and became lost in the Holy Rosary.

After about and hour, I was left alone in the chapel with our Lord. I was full of joy and got down to my knees just adoring Him. As I came up, I kissed my hand then placed it on the tabernacle. Not realizing what I had done at the exact hour, it was Midnight in NY State. 2013 had arrived and I found myself kissing our Lord, through the Holy Tabernacle.

White Horse

chalice

“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war” Revelation 19:11

I was blessed this morning with not only setting up for 24 hour Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament after our 8:00 AM Mass, but also through the Legion of Mary, partaking in and setting up a Mass located in one of our Nursing Homes that we evangelize to every week. I had set up the Altar and we were waiting for our priest. When he arrived, although I had set them out, we forgot to bring our celebrants vestments and I asked him before the Mass began, if he would like me to run and get them. He said yes and so I was off to retrieve them. Our Parish was not that far away from where we were located. When I returned I parked on a side street from the main road next to a protestant church, where the Nursing facility was located. I got out of my car and standing in the middle of the street was a huge black rooster. I giggled as I seen him thinking this was an odd place for a rooster. I made a chicken noise at him, laughed and began to cross the road. I thought of the old joke as I was crossing, “Why did the chicken cross the road?” and said out loud, thinking of what we were about to do, vestments in hand, answering “Because I’m not a chicken”.

I arrived in time for the Gospel to be read and after, Father placed on the stole. During the consecration of the bread and wine, into the Body and Blood of our Lord, I noticed that there appeared to be a reflection of the Roman Missal on the chalice. The holy book was open and the pages laying in such a way that looked like one white horses hoof on the chalice. I couldn’t hold back my smile and it brought me deeper into the Mass. I was overcome with a deep peace and joy. I could see Victory. I knew, in the midst of this suffering our Lord and His entire Holy Army were present to bring The Light, defeat the darkness of the lame, suffering and all His children’s ailments. The True Healer was present and I was able to see Him in His glory as all received Him warmly, in love.

A Friend

Oh Mary, conceived without sin. Pray for us who have recourse to you…

This morning, I received news that a woman I have become very good friends with, had passed away. She was the Vice President of the Legion of Mary, Mystical Rose out of my parish. She was a member of our parish for over 50 years. She was a pillar of the community.

I loved the conversations I would have with her about our Lord. To converse with her about our Lord and the experiences we shared, I will treasure the rest of my life. It was truly a blessing to know her on such a personal level. There was no fear of loving her, nor giving her back to our Lord. He took her very quickly and I can’t thank Him enough. Her name was Yvette. She was a soldier.

When I pray the final part of the Legion of Mary prayers every night, I know now I have someone I know personally that is included when I pray:

May the souls of our departed legionaries and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

O Lord, grant those who have died the joy of Your Presence, and us who are living the happiness of knowing this. Amen

The Mystical Rose

Mystical Rose,
Help of Christians, pray for us.
Mystical Rose of the Immaculate Conception,
protectress of priests and the consecrated,
win them the favor of Jesus Christ! Amen.

Today is the feast of the Immaculate Conception and I wish to share with you a little sliver of heaven. Yesterday was my birthday and my entire day, I thank Mama Mary and the Holy Trinity for blessing me with the honor of spending that day with them in the following way.

I attended the 8 AM mass as I usualy do and left in peace to share this inner peace with every soul I was to come in contact with. I got home and prayed to our Lord asking Him about how I was going to spend the day. I went into my yard and began to water my plants. I am in San Diego and the weather here permits me to do so. As I was watering my plants, I moved to my rose bushes and began to water them. I only have three and my gardening skills have taken a back seat for the past few months so I had not been attending to them or most of my yard for that matter. I noticed my roses in bloom but one bush stood out over the others.

One rose, one perficet rose was fully open. This plant I call my “Sacred Heart” roses. They are white roses with the outer petals sprayed with red. I often ponder it as the prestine white rose being dipped into the blood of our crusified Lord. The rose that stood out had a very long stem. I had never seen a stem this long from one of my plants. Not only was the stem very long, no other branch came forth from it. It was attached directly to the base of the bush and very close to the ground where the root entered the earth. Mind you, the stem on this beautiful flower looked as if it was three foot high. If I were to have cut it further it could have been. Three being the Holy Trinity did cross my mind. I did not grow this rose. This was a gift from Abba Father telling me to bring it to Mama Mary.

I cut the rose and knew exactly where it needed to go. I dropped everything and headed back to church because I knew this special rose belonged to Mama Mary as her Immaculate Conception was the true celebration I was looking forward to. As I pulled up, I noticed our maintenance man working outside and asked him to let me in, so I could present it to our Holy Mother’s statue. I walked in and the woman who decorates the church was just starting to decorate for the following days feast. She needed help and I told her I would help her. I spent the remainder of the day helping her to decorate for the feast. I had to run back home at a point because we did not have a cloth big enough to cover the table our Holy Mother’s statue would be on. I brought back the same cloth, that was used when the international pilgrim traveling statue of Our Lady of Fatima made a visit to our parish.

This beautiful rose became the center point under the Immaculate Mary’s statue. The patroness of the Legion of Mary in which I serve in, is called “Mystical Rose”. There is no doubt, our Lord wanted me to spend this birthday doing exactly what I had done and provided me with a beautiful gift to give Mama Mary on the day of her Immaculate Conception, the day of her birth into life.

If you do not know about the Mystical Rose, please read here

Keep in mind, yesterday was December 7th

SNIP from the above link:

“Sixth Apparition on December 7, 1947

This time when Our Lady appeared again in the parish church there were only three persons present. Among them was the Reverend Confessor of the seer. Our Lady, as “Rosa Mystica,” wore a white cloak. This was held at the right side by a boy, at the left side by a girl. Both were also dressed in white.
Our Lady said, “Tomorrow I shall show you my Immaculate Heart which human beings know so little.” Here she paused and then went on, “In Fatima I spread the dedication to my Immaculate Heart.” With heartfelt expression she went on, “In Bonate I tried to introduce this devotion into Christian families.” (Bonate, where Our Lady appeared during the war, is situated near Bergamo.)
Here she made a somewhat longer pause, then continued, “Here in Montichiari I wish the devotion of the ‘Rosa Mystica,’ together with the veneration of my Immaculate Heart, to be increased in the religious institutes and the monastic communities, in order that these souls dedicated to God may receive more graces from my motherly Heart.”
Then Our Lady told Pierina a mystery and promised that she herself would let her know when she had to reveal it. Pierina asked, “Who are the two children at your side?”
Our Lady answered, “Jacinta and Francesco. They will be your companions in all your afflictions. They too have suffered, though they were much younger than you. Look, this is how I would like you to be—–simple and good—–as these children used to be.” Our Lady extended her arms protectingly, looked up to Heaven and exclaimed, “Sia benedetto il Signore!” which means, “Praised be the Lord!” Then she disappeared.”

EDIT TO ADD: I just noticed from another photo, the rose is red, white and yellow. Maybe I should call it the Mystical Rose.

From another site: “By praying, sacrificing and doing penance we bring roses to our Mother and do reparation for the injury of the swords.

The roses:
A white rose : spirit of prayer.
A Red rose: spirit of sacrifice (reparation)
A golden-yellow rose: spirit of total immolation

“This three roses will make the three swords fall from the Most Blessed Hearts of Jesus and Mary”
