Don’t Let The Devil Pull You In

mary-crushes-head-of-serpent

Is what I am saying online, or offline, being said because I LOVE?

Is what I am doing online, or offline, being done because I LOVE?

Wonderful assessment by Bishop Robert Barron on the current situation today (Covington Catholic) with jumping to conclusions, that were never there.

Love one another, as I have loved you.

If you are tempted to be sucked into it all, cry out:

Lord? I forgive them. And I pray for them. I do love them, because You loved us first. Have mercy on us all. <– BEST way to begin the healing. Let Him in. Humility prevails.

Jesus said, “Fatherforgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

All The False Promises

temptation_of_christ

As I ponder today’s gospel reading, and all the ways the evil one tried to tempt our Lord, so brazen as to offer our Lord everything He already has. Everything, in all creation, belongs to our Lord. This is how empty the so called promises are.

Imagine the evil one as a door to door salesman, coming to your home, knocking on your door, forcing himself in and trying to sell you everything within your home that you already own. Imagine him pointing to the photos of your family & children, or placing his arms around them, and telling you, if you follow him, you can have them too. This is the insolence of evil. That same evil so full of himself, to approach our Lord and offer Him all that He had already created. What the evil one didn’t take into account, was our Lord’s mission to regain from the evil ones hands, what he thought he had stripped away from Him, was already done.

Like a hamster on a treadmill, we chase after all these empty promises as if we just go around one more time, we will be filled with them all, when that big break comes! The big break comes, when we are no longer alive and we see the life we lead was full of emptiness and it can no longer be filled with hope, love and faith in our Lord, complete with eternal joy.

I also remember, that our Lord, had us first, through the sacrament of Baptism when we rejected Satan and all his empty promises. Lent is the opportune time to turn back to Him, inviting Him back into our “homes”, to rid them of that door to door snake oil salesman.

A Leaven In The World . . . Where Is There “Room To Disagree” With Jesus? In Hell!

Oblique_facade_3,_US_Supreme_Court

Must share – MUST read via Padre-Kevin Michael Cusick

“Where do we get the idea that we can love others if we reject God’s salvation for them? Not from God. The confusion that regularly passes for sanity on the part of so many Christians and Catholics is evident in the widespread societal capitulation in the wake of the Obergefell decision of the nine-person Sanhedrin of Satan we call the Supreme Court of the United States.”

The Demon Wolves of ISIS: Ancient Assyria Reborn

images9LLADWRP

I seen a photo of a woman. Her hands were bound along with her legs. Her head was held over a basin. Her throat was slashed and the blood drained out of her naked body into the basin. How much more brutalization of Christians will convince you that this is evil. That this IS the evil one committing these atrocities through “Secularism” in Iraq? And through silence of this, in the rest of the world? How much more silence do you think we can we endure from the world? I WILL NOT POST THE PHOTO out of respect.

“Those who remain silent are responsible.” -St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein)

Must read! Yes! This is taking place today!

Fr. Dwight Longenecker

The Demon Wolves of ISIS: Ancient Assyria Reborn

Lord Byron’s poem The Destruction of Sennacherib begins with the line, “The Assyrian came down like a wolf on the fold.”

My friend Paul Thigpen makes the link between the warlords of the Islamic State (IS) and their historic predecessors, the warlike Assyrians.

Two ancient civilizations jockeyed for power in what is now the nation of Iraq: Babylon to the south and Assyria to the North.

The Assyrian Empire was centered on the exact geographical territory that Islamic State now claims–Eastern Syria and Northern Iraq.

Assyria emerged as a territorial state in the 14th century B.C. Its territory covered approximately the northern part of modern Iraq. The first capital of Assyria was Assur, located about 150 miles north of modern Baghdad on the west bank of the Tigris River. The city was named for its national god, Assur, from which the name Assyria is also derived.

While the Babylonian Empire was known for its accomplishments in learning, architecture, and the arts, the Assyrians were known as experts in warfare. Cruel, bloodthirsty and proud, they bragged about their military victories and heartless oppression of their victims.

Homily On Iraq: MUST HEAR For All Catholics

BqmCPSnCIAErqui.jpg-large

Brothers and sisters:
What will separate us from the love of Christ?
Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or peril, or the sword?
No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly
through him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities,
nor present things, nor future things,
nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature will be able to separate us
from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.ROM 8:35, 37-39

I was moved to tears and more at Holy Mass yesterday morning, when I heard after the Homily from a local Chaldean Deacon who was invited by our Priest to give a talk after the Homily, with first hand knowledge, of what has and is taking place in Iraq. This taking place to our Christian brothers & sisters, being tortured, murdered, raped and martyred by ISIS, being paid for by THIS nation we live in by the Obama administration. ISIS hate our Lord. They hate Him. They hate Him in the Eucharist. They hate Him in His Church. They Hate Him in His followers. They hate Him in the Rosary we pray to pull closer to Him. They hate Him in the statue’s that are religious “photos” of those we love and look to for peace and model our lives after. They hate Him and that is why they persecute us. They hate us, because we BELIEVE. We must protect our Lord and all that He is. This is a “Spiritual Battle” against evil that is manifesting itself and making itself known bluntly as evil across the globe. We must defend religious freedom, we must defend our Lord in the Eucharist. We must defend the FAITH He has given to us, even at the cost as He did, “death on a cross”. The cross we carry for future generations to find that peace, the world and worldly are rejecting.

We truly are at war. Spiritual War, against Satan and his demons, who seek to destroy everything that even resembles our Lord in this world, in even the slightest way. Come back home to our Lord. Yes it is already won through our Lord but now is the time to choose a side. Wake up! REPENT.

Homily On Iraq: LISTEN HERE!

dvDpuYF
“A small white lamb follows a white donkey through the rubble of homes in the northern district of Beit Hanun” Israel

I believe in one God,
the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate
of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance of the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead
and His kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
With the Father and the Son
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

YES! What Is Going On IS Demonic

1193228_empty-classroom-e1385683284358

This IS Demonic America. Even the LEAST faithful soul who believes in God, knows the devil is real and demons are real.
1 John 5:19
“We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.” Who is controlling you and your family? What do you place first? That is what is controlling you and your family…

From:Fr. Z’s Blog
Nun UNDER The Bus

You probably saw my post Sister explains the situation. Spittle-flecked nutty, bullying, intimidation ensue.

Sr. Jane Laurel, OP, gave a talk at a Catholic High School. Hell broke loose.

If you want to sample her talks, go HERE. Her talk at the High School was “Masculinity & Femininity: Difference & Gift”. Presentations with that title are on that website. Listen to a few. At the High School, Sister included comments about homosexuality, divorce and single parents. Some people lost their minds. Read more here.

I suspect that what happened, to build this up into such a thing, is that parents heard vague reports – I say vague because teens are such great sources of accuracy in reporting – about her remarks from their politically-correctly conditioned children and, stung in conscience, got out the pitchforks and torches.

The nutty built up into grand mal nutty in the form of the increasingly inevitable “town hall” meeting.

Am I entirely off base here? Did Sister actually say things that were so outrageous, so unacceptable, so lacking in truth and in charity, that the resulting furor was appropriate, proportionate and justified? Really? Go listen to some of her talks using that link, above. Does it seem likely?

Now I read that Sister is going to have a sabbatical. HERE

It looks as if Alinsky’s Rules were at work here. “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. … Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

Look. This is just the starting line for some observations.

It seems to me that this sad episode is one of many which reveal the building in our midst of a mob mentality akin to that which drove the Salem Witch Trials. If you speak in public now with any clarity about the Church’s teachings on sexuality, marriage, etc., or avert to conclusions which rational people reach about the same derived from the Natural Law, you will be met with fury. “I saw Lizzie Procter speaking with the devil!” Well… bad example, since most of the people who will join the snarling pack likely don’t believe in the devil.

There is a new and twisted “normal” coalescing. This new “normal”, violating the dictates of reason, will prompt the more aggressive and ideologically driven to impose iron norms, which, when violated, will spark vicious attacks from the now easily manipulated mob.

Watching episode in Charlotte build, I had the image of one of those mobs protests a G8 meeting. In these mobs there are professional instigators, anarchists and so forth, who are dedicated to getting the crowd of the curious, the young, the dumb, the enthusiastic, etc., whipped up into a frenzy. Then, as the frenzy rises, someone pitches a garbage can through a shop window and the havoc begins.

What is happening in our society that accepts so readily the hounding to ruin of the head of some business because he says that he supports true, natural marriage and does not endorse homosexual unions?

Surely there is something of a mob mentality building, and swiftly. The speed is driven by the new phenomenon of social media arriving in your hand 24/7. It is also driven by the erosion of the ability of many to reason (thanks to decades of poor education) and incessant mass media exaltation of self-satisfaction and base carnality, which also switches off higher functions.

But there is also something of the demonic in this present movement.

Some of you readers will remember back in the 50′s and 60′s the benign anti-littering campaigns. “Don’t be a litter bug!” education camps once teachers in schools were daily pounding on their empty-skulls heads about “pollution”. That campaign was probably also an outgrowth of the early ecology movement and neo-Malthusian efforts, but, hey, cleaner streets and roads were good.

Gramsci got it right: get control of the schools and, over time, you’ll control everything else. Have an agenda? Focus on school curricula and teachers. Extirpate anyone who doesn’t conform. Silence any discordant voice.

The campaign that we are seeing now, however, anything but benign. It is brush fire fast and there is in it something of the demonic.

The good news? God already won… The choice is yours to make.

“Spiritual Warfare Prayer”

Spiritual_Warfare-Slide

All through the power of our Lord Jesus Christ…..

“Spiritual Warfare Prayer”

Lord Jesus, I ask you today to cover Me and my family, the whole world, especially our military and our priest, with your precious blood and protection. Uncover any hidden plot of the enemy before it has a chance to take root or effect or do any harm. Alert us to any hidden plots against us and provide in advance a peaceful solution to any damage the enemy tries to do. Bind and make mute any evil spirits that try to manifest or attach themselves to us in any way. We ask you to please hide from the enemy the personal plans and ministries you have for us, so he has no access or knowledge of them. Let no weapon formed against us be able to prosper.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke any curses, hexes or spells sent against us. I bind all interplay, interaction and communication of evil spirits, and I claim the protection of the shed blood of Jesus Christ on_________. I ask you , Lord, to please send St. Michael, the Archangel, to drive out all the evil spirits who roam the earth and give St. Michael the authority to send all evil spirits straight to the recesses of hell, where they will remain forever.

Lord Jesus, I also ask you to please let the waters of our baptism flow back through our bloodlines to cleanse us of any evil or unwanted tendencies or traits that we may have inherited from our ancestors. And lastly, Lord, I ask you to please bless my enemies by sending your Holy Spirit to lead them to repentance and conversion.

We thank you, Lord, and we praise you. Lord, for your boundless mercy and protection. Amen.

This prayer could be said everyday. Anywhere and everywhere you go.

Evil spirit, I bind you in the Name of Jesus Christ, and command you to go to the foot of the cross.

Astrology – The Path To Destruction

Why-God-Says-No

“All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to ‘unveil’ the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone” (CCC 2116).

The first commandment forbids honoring gods other than the one Lord who has revealed himself to his people. It proscribes superstition and irreligion. Superstition in some sense represents a perverse excess of religion; irreligion is the vice contrary by defect to the virtue of religion (CCC 2110).

Superstition is the deviation of religious feeling and of the practices this feeling imposes. It can even affect the worship we offer the true God, e.g., when one attributes an importance in some way magical to certain practices otherwise lawful or necessary. To attribute the efficacy of prayers or of sacramental signs to their mere external performance, apart from the interior dispositions that they demand, is to fall into superstition (CCC 2111).

Our Lord shook the “Rafters” yesterday…

Astrology and all things in that way of entertainment are most assuredly, a porthole directly into hell, for many demons to enter into a life and do as they please to a soul.

I entered my daughters classroom and she was finishing up with her teacher. My other daughter was looking arround and seen a calendar of birthdays. She mentioned to the teacher, her birthday and the teacher replied “Oh you are a scorpion, I mean Scorpio. My birthday is in November too but I am a Sagittarius”. I said “So am I.”

I gathered up my girls and walked out of the class, the door closing behind us. I stopped DEAD in my tracks as I heard in my heart, “You are a child of God.” In that instant I realized I denied our Lord His sovereignty with my response to that teacher. A door was open to evangelize to her and was slammed shut with the answer I had given. A flood of memories came in of how such things that we take as just simple innocent pleasures such as tarot cards and numerology & horoscopes are no big deal. These “simple pleasures” of entertainment had taken me so far away from our Lord and His love, driving me directly into a world not that of our Lords.. Superstition had me by the throat, God, through His son our Lord, released me.

When I was very young, about the age of 6, my daughter’s age, my dad brought tarot cards into the home. He laid them out before my two brothers and I and began to teach us what they were. Keep in mind, he did not know the destruction he was bringing and also had said to us this in not real stuff to believe in. We believe in God. Even with his words of comfort, a seed from that horror was planted in me and began to grow, taking over a huge portion of my life, strangling the Truth growing along side it. I looked to evil as an escape and became a nasty angry child, turning into an angry selfish adult, dabbling in drugs and the occult, but thinking to myself, this still wasn’t real and still hanging on to God, falling headlong into the deadly “sin of presumption”. I turned to the things of the world seeking comfort, where none was found, and away from my faith in God. I forgive my dad and beg for mercy on his soul to our Lord and those who read this must understand, it was at the second of my dad’s death, that I cried out to our Lord to change my life. It was loosing him and the love I had for him that God was able to step into my life again and begin the clean up process. I must also say, I do not blame my dad at all. I do believe that all things happen for a reason we will never understand, but in the end, through repentance, everything works for the greater glory of God. On a personal note, the cards didn’t last long in the home. When my dad found out it was a sin, he promptly tossed them out. As everyone should!

I understand only now, that when that door closed yesterday, our Lord gave me time to understand what I had done, and why, so I can go back to her today and let her know in His love, with His mercy and kindness that we both messed up.

Run away as fast as you can from this stuff. Its bad news.

“To whom then must we make an answer first—to the heretics or to the astrologers? For both come from the serpent, and desire to corrupt the Church’s virginity of heart, which she holds in undefiled faith” (Homilies on John 8:10 [A.D. 416]). St. Augustine of Hippo

John 8:10-11
10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
11 “No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

Spiritual

jesus-rebuking-demon

How many times do you hear: I never go to Mass, I’m a good person, but I don’t follow any faith or “religion” but I’m “Spiritual”.

The bigger question is, what “Spirit” are you following? If you’re not following Jesus Christ, then you need to ask yourself this question. The reason we are Christian is the fact we follow Jesus Christ. We do what He tells us to do. Especially in regards to “obedience”.

Todays gospel reminds us that the devil, who is also “Spiritual” knows Jesus Christ to be the Son of God. All “Spirits” know Him. The evil ones are the ones who refuse to follow Him. They do everything in their power not to follow Him. They do not believe Him. To “Believe” means to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so. Thus we “Listen” to what He tells us to do, because we know it to be the correct path. We do it because we love Him.

Ask yourself again, what “spirit” am I following if I am not following Jesus Christ?

At the end of the gospels, all of them, by the end of our Lords ministry, all the Disciples of Christ, know who He is. “Who do you say that I am?”.

When we seek Him, we can find Him. We desire only to stay with Him. In “Communion” with Him. To receive Him and for Him to receive us. To love and serve Him. In all that we do. He makes it known, He is with us, in love. Without a doubt. His presence we encounter in the Holy Eucharist, becomes His presence in us, that we may share Him with all we encounter.

“Gospel, Mark 1:21-28

21 They went as far as Capernaum, and at once on the Sabbath he went into the synagogue and began to teach.

22 And his teaching made a deep impression on them because, unlike the scribes, he taught them with authority.

23 And at once in their synagogue there was a man with an unclean spirit, and he shouted,

24 ‘What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God.’

25 But Jesus rebuked it saying, ‘Be quiet! Come out of him!’

26 And the unclean spirit threw the man into convulsions and with a loud cry went out of him.

27 The people were so astonished that they started asking one another what it all meant, saying, ‘Here is a teaching that is new, and with authority behind it: he gives orders even to unclean spirits and they obey him.’

28 And his reputation at once spread everywhere, through all the surrounding Galilean countryside.

Cutting Off All Evil

You can not serve two masters…..

I had the most disturbing dream last night. When I woke from it, I was still in a state of disgust. It was so graphic and bloody that no horror film to date could match it. At Holy Mass this morning, it began to take shape in my memory again, and came together in a less foggy way, with an incredible twist that gave me peace.
The dream:
I was standing at the end of a long hallway. Lining the walls were many religious paintings of the crucifixion of our Lord. The light where I was standing was brilliant. I began to walk towards the other end. Standing at the opposite side of the hall, in the dim light was a grotesque figure, the closer I walked to it, he made himself known as Satan. I began to hammer into the walls, and could not see at first what I was hanging up. As one of my hands dropped out of the way, I could see I was nailing severed fingers to the wall, just after the paintings of the Crucifixion had ended. After nailing each finger into the wall, I looked without any fear, nor any expression at the grotesque figure at the other end. He raised his hands to show me, I had cut his fingers off and his were the fingers I was nailing to the wall. I had no compassion for him, no words, no expression, nothing.
I immediately woke up.
It wasn’t until the conclusion of Holy Mass this morning that I was given spiritual comfort of having this dream. It came to me, that cutting off the fingers of the evil one, nailing them to the wall, made it imposable for him to ever hold my hand again and lure me away from our Lord. Nor could he point them at others.

I’m Awake

Romans 14:8 If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

I’m awake! I am truly awake in Christ. “You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy”

For so many years, be it my lack of understanding, or lack of wisdom, I finally realize who our Lord is. He is love and forgiveness. He is mercy and understanding. He is justice and fairness. For so many years, I thought that by my constant repenting of my past sins, that somehow our Lord would take that as doing more for Him when the reality is, He, through HIS sacrifice on the cross, and Resurrection has already done it all for us. Us as followers, need to understand that within each soul He lives, He dies, and is resurrected over and over again. Not many times in the same soul, but in each soul one time. My sacrifice is nothing as I live in Him. Sacrificing your life of sin is not a sacrifice but EXPECTED in order to gain friendship with Christ. It is the evil one who will make try and make you believe your “Sacrificing” something of your life of sin but the reality is, it was dust all along. It never belonged in the equalization of life in Christ in the first place.

It is only the evil one who makes our past sins a constant reminder of our failures. It it our Lord who takes our past failures and turns them into triumphs of glory by teaching us to overcoming them, looking past them and taking the soul to new heights by living in such a way as to overcome them by not repeating them. Forgetting them and leaving them in the dust. Therefor to enjoy the gift of LIFE he has given to us. TO share this LIFE with others.

“So the LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.” Eating dust is exactly what the evil one does and he tries to spit that dust into our faces, blinding us with our own faults. Making us unable to see past them and to enjoy the glory of Jesus Christ. When Satan keeps reminding you of your past sins, the ones you have already confessed, remind him of his future. After we know for a fact, we have sought our Lord for forgiveness and have repented.

“For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14
