Homily On Iraq: MUST HEAR For All Catholics

BqmCPSnCIAErqui.jpg-large

Brothers and sisters:
What will separate us from the love of Christ?
Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or peril, or the sword?
No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly
through him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities,
nor present things, nor future things,
nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature will be able to separate us
from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.ROM 8:35, 37-39

I was moved to tears and more at Holy Mass yesterday morning, when I heard after the Homily from a local Chaldean Deacon who was invited by our Priest to give a talk after the Homily, with first hand knowledge, of what has and is taking place in Iraq. This taking place to our Christian brothers & sisters, being tortured, murdered, raped and martyred by ISIS, being paid for by THIS nation we live in by the Obama administration. ISIS hate our Lord. They hate Him. They hate Him in the Eucharist. They hate Him in His Church. They Hate Him in His followers. They hate Him in the Rosary we pray to pull closer to Him. They hate Him in the statue’s that are religious “photos” of those we love and look to for peace and model our lives after. They hate Him and that is why they persecute us. They hate us, because we BELIEVE. We must protect our Lord and all that He is. This is a “Spiritual Battle” against evil that is manifesting itself and making itself known bluntly as evil across the globe. We must defend religious freedom, we must defend our Lord in the Eucharist. We must defend the FAITH He has given to us, even at the cost as He did, “death on a cross”. The cross we carry for future generations to find that peace, the world and worldly are rejecting.

We truly are at war. Spiritual War, against Satan and his demons, who seek to destroy everything that even resembles our Lord in this world, in even the slightest way. Come back home to our Lord. Yes it is already won through our Lord but now is the time to choose a side. Wake up! REPENT.

Homily On Iraq: LISTEN HERE!

“A small white lamb follows a white donkey through the rubble of homes in the northern district of Beit Hanun” Israel

I believe in one God,
the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate
of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance of the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead
and His kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
With the Father and the Son
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Render

Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

The question came up, “What do you render to God and what do you render to Caesar? Remember when God told the Jews He was their king and the Jews said “Give us a king to lead us,”, so Saul was given, then David and our Lord, to which they responded “We have no king but Caesar”. “Caesar” today, is a concept created by man looking for a “king” other then the True God. Or man answering God with the word No, rather then yes.

A good way to answer this question is what do you bring with you when you enter this world and what do you leave it with? You are created by God. All your life belongs to God. All you create through imagination and all your inspirations are a gift from God. Your children are not yours but Gods as they to will return to Him. All your time belongs to God, so everything you think you have created in this world, belongs to God. God created the world. God created the food you eat and the animals that give you the clothing you wear. Caesar gets the what is left when you leave after giving all the glory to God. God owns everything, as He designed and created all creatures in it. Caesar gets nothing. Granted, “Caesar” became the way of governing, but when you have the Law of God etched on your heart, you have no need for “Caesar”. Only that which is from God. As the soul in love with God, is obedient to God and all that He declares.

“An unjust law is no law at all” – St. Augustine of Hippo

“A just law is a man made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law.“ Martin Luther King Jr.

“If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so.” Thomas Jefferson

‘And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matt 16:18-19

The definition of RENDER:

3

b (1) : give back, restore (2) : reflect, echo
c : to give in acknowledgment of dependence or obligation : pay

Lord, my God to you do I render all that I have, all that I am, all that You O Lord have given to me -then do with me as You see fit.

Religious Persecution

On the road to Calvary, Jesus fell for us three times. He tells us all the time, I fell for you because I love you! Will we fall away from our sins and our worldly ways and desires for Him? This is a time to choose.

Back in July of last year, as I was attending Mass, at the exact second of the consecration of the wine into His blood, I looked down and in my engagement ring was the reflection of the face of our Lord from this stained glass window. I could not see the diamond at all, just His face looking up at me, telling me in my heart and in person, I fell for you.

A friend had told me yesterday that her mother said that since the US has been consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of our Holy Mother Mary, that she believed the US would NEVER fall. I told her in so many words, the consecration in itself to Mary is a gift from God. Just as all gifts from God are given freely, we have the choice to receive them and “Nurture” them, or send them back. Just because EVERY nation on earth has been consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is not a guarantee of not failing. The Nations then must accept or deny the gift! Do you see the nation “Repenting” from her ways and doing God’s will?

It doesn’t take much to look back on the last 40 years of American history to see the major decline of morals and values in this nation. Not only in her culture but also in her laws that trample over the very simple right to life that is the gift from God.

What is Religious Persecution?

Persecution may be defined in general as the unlawful coercion of another’s liberty or his unlawful punishment, for not every kind of punishment can be regarded as persecution. For our purpose it must be still further limited to the sphere of religion, and in that sense persecution means unlawful coercion or punishment for religion’s sake.

The word “martyr” means “witness.” White martyrdom consists in a total offering to God, dying to self, the world, and its allurements. God calls us as followers of Christ, to be just that! To seek Him in all things. To do His will and to abandon self. We are all called to be Saints.

In the slightest amounts, Religious Persecution can be a spouse or family member, friends, and so on, refusing to speak to you because you attended a church function. Be it Mass, Adoration, attending to the homeless or the sick, rather then staying home with him or her, or going to a sporting event on a given day. Constant criticism of you because of your faith and even in the more extreme cases, a spouse divorcing you, because you refuse to abandon your faith in Christ. Christ tells us to bare these crosses with patience, love and fortitude. The virtue of fortitude enables one to conquer fear, even fear of death, and to face trials and persecutions, through our love for Christ. I often ponder when this is the case with me, “Forgive them Father, they know not what they do”.

Today we can see it prevalent in our our US Government in regards to forcing Catholic Hospitals to perform Abortions, hand out contraceptives and also the government stepping in and telling Christian organisations how and what they can do, such as forcing Catholic orphanages to agree to adopt children to openly gay couples, when the reality is, there are many other outlets for such people to go to who do not share then beliefs as the organization they could obviously patronize.

On the other side of the spectrum, it is being put to death because of your faith. This is called “Red Martyrdom”. The spilling of your blood for the sake of our Lord.

In either case, we all must face making the choice to follow Christ, or to abandon Him and our faith and chose to follow the world. I can not chose the world. I do however, have to live in it. To do so is to have a strong need and want to do His will and abandon mine. To be obedient to Him. This day, He calls to all of us, to use our voices, to speak His words and live as He lives. To BELIEVE in Him, is to accept His way.

I can not abandon my Lord. I love Him. I am in love with Him. He chose me before I was born. Today, I freely choose Him.

“Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
